My husband and I drove from British Columbia to California! We decided that part of the trip should be driving along the most beautiful Oregon Coastline. They have some lovely looking bridges along the coast! I took this picture of one bridge as we drove over it. Isn't it great! I love bridges I would like to make a photo album dedicated to all the bridges I have driven over and maybe even ones my friends have driven over that I would love to experience. We take the mightiness of a bridge so much for granted as we get older. Do you remember when you were a kid and it was so exciting to drive over the bridge. You would stretch your neck as much as you could to see just how high up you were from the wateror land below you! Is there anyone else out there that loves to look at a big beautiful new bridge or enjoy the appeal of a little old rickety one? I don't know what it is but I just love bridges!

an amazing bridge - This is really amazing, I forget the story that went with the picture, darn it. I just saved the picture and nothing else.
It was the world's most something bridge, heh.
I do like bridges, what is it about them that we find so attractive...that we can just stare and stare at them?from huge suspended bridges, to simple country bridges made of stone... rope bridges with crumbling planks of wood to covered bridges... is it their gentle arches, or their engineering feats? Oh yeah, another type of bridge that I find just fascinating is the old black iron ones that trains travel over...are they called Trestle? they seem so romantic to me.

Ah the Trestle bridge we had one in our town not far from my home. We use to walk across the bridge and never new what time the train was coming. If we heard it coming we had to try and make it across or run back. I can't remember if there was a place to wait for it to pass. There must of been don't you think? There were a few houses on the other side and they walked across the track all the time and I never heard of anyone getting killed. Oh how I loved to sit on the river bank and look at that Trestle.

I like bridges too. There are so many wonderful bridges to look at . Montreal has quite a few .There is a long bridge in Trois Rivieres Quebec that spans from the North Shore to the South Shore. One bridge that is particularly awesome is the bridge in Quebec City that spans from the North Shore to the South Shore. ( crosses the St. Lawrence River) I like to see covered bridges too . Hartland ,New Brunswick has one of the longest covered bridges in the world.
