Silent Partner: Will you be reading the book written by the wife of former New Jersey governor who stepped down from office to admit he was gay? I will read it if the library buys the book. I feel very bad for this lady. Her husband knew he was gay. It was his second marriage. He used to her to make himself look like the perfect family man. They had a child together. He tried to make her have the Jackie O image. The more I read about the man, the angrier I get. How can people use others like this?

I will read it too, I think it is absolutely the highest form of deceit, you can get. He used her so he could have both of three worlds. His disgusting private affair, the perfect family man image with his devoted wife's support and love, and the most important one, his political career. He is out of two, although, I'm not up to date with the latest development, but I don't think the love affair is going to last very long.

Now I have seen and heard everything! Good Luck to them let's see how long it is going to last if they build their future on so much deceit and tears! Wonderful strong foundation blocks!

This sounds like a very interesting book. I enjoy a wide variety of books on all kinds of subjects, and this one sounds like it might be pretty good. Like you, I will likely wait until it hits the library, before I read it.

I can't help but think that she was aware of the whole situation. but i think that the whole situation was handled badly. On both parts. They used each other and they still are in their own individual ways. And that does not a marriage make.I can only imagine what we don't know about their marriage. There's no dignity in any of this.

I saw a little bit of the Oprah show yesterday when the wife was on. He admitted to her that he was gay only 2 hours before the announcement was made to the public. He told her what to say, and she was in shock. I feel bad for her. I don't think I'll read the book though.
