I envy my baby whenever I see him sleep. It is as if no matter how noisy the surroundings become, he still has that deep sleep. As oppose to me, I rarely have a decent sleep. Sometimes, 5 or 6 hours would do. And I rarely have that deep sleep which suppose to relax the body even more. So how about you? How many hours do you sleep? And do you still have that "deep" sleep?

Yes I do—and I love it! I can sleep for 8-10 hours. I rarely do with work and staying up late but I can. I sleep in every weekend at least one day- I try to stay in bed till at least 9 am. I love it- I love to sleep in.. sure I’m wasting part of the day but I need it. They say you can’t catch up on sleep- but I sure feel better after sleeping in. The only thing that wakes me up is my daughter- Mom… or the cat- Meow! Every night around 2am…

Rarely do I get that deep sleep, but I do sometimes. Especially when I am under the weather... Since having my kids, I don't get the deep sleep too much and I wonder if it's a psychological thing where my mind doesn't want to go too far away in case the kids need me on the moment.

I rarely get the deep sleep anymore. I seem to wake up at least two or three times a night. But I no longer have to stay awake for someone coming home late. Now it is a dog or a movie on tv that wakes me up. Deep sleep? What's that? Ha.

I think as parents it's harder for us to have that deep sleep. I really don't think I've had a good deep sleep since I was pregnant. Since I've had my daughter I'm always sleeping and it seems like I'm listening in my sleep for her to wake up. She's only stayed away from me 2 nights since she's been born and even those nights she was away I didn't get good sleep. If anything I slept worse because I knew she wasn't home and the house was just too quiet and empty.
