So many times it happens ... the life is full of opportunities / chances one can avail. But of course people are lucky who even get the chance. Sometimes we misjudge and then repent... It is not wise to repent, if one knowingly miss. I missed a very bright career opportunity with lot of fringe benefits but I never thought of that again. What I believe is that I will have a better one ... :) Have you ever missed some golden chance in your life? What was that? Do you hope it would come again and you will avail the opportunity!

There is some good opportunity in your life, you could seize some, and miss the others. It's happened. I had a opportunity to work for an international famous bank in 2005. However, for some reason, I miss it. It's a great pity in my life. But I believe I will have a better one in the future, just as you do. So,I hope both of us good luck!

Now, don't get me wrong. I love my husband very much. But sometimes I feel as if I missed my golden opportunity of being with my high school crush. I was too shy, and basically too introverted, and because of that I told him 'no' when he asked me to be his girlfriend during my senior year in high school. The thought of the whole thing made me way too nervous at the time. A mutual friend later told me that it hurt him when I refused to be with him. And I have been kicking myself ever since.

That is exactly how I feel. I would consider myself lucky if I were to be able to see and talk to him face to face just once more in this lifetime. But, more than likely, it will never happen.

yes, i always believe that life is full of opportunities and we had to actively seeking for them instead of waiting for them to come to us... that's why i always ask for wisdom from God so that i would be able to identify good opportunity when it is there and grab it instead of letting it slip away from me... i believe that opportunities won't come back again to us once it slips...

Yes, no one can term any opportunity good or bad, but seeking wisdom to differentiate between the two is very appreciating. I deeply appreciate your kind words Lingli! thanks for response.

Never, I think. Only because I have this belief that chances are not golden, its you who make them gold. If one thng goes its sure that another will come and its upto you to use it to the full. Sometimes I do have seen that missing somethings had been quite a help for me. It has brought things that I never even imagined would come in my life. They have changed my ife like fully. Its good to use the chances but sometimes its much better to take chances. Any Ways Take Care May Got Bless YOU

Heres is a very interesting message shared to me by a friend that I would also like to share with you. THE LAW OF THE SEED: Most seeds never grow. For one apple tree to bear 500 apples, you need ten seeds. In life, this principle might mean you'll need to attend twenty interviews to get one job, talk to fifty people to sell one house, meet one thousand acquaintances to have one special person. If we really want to make things happen, we usually need to try more than once. That's the law of nature. If ever there's one opportunity coming your way, just grab it. It is better to grab it than reject it and feel sorry for doing so. In every opportunity that come my way, I make sure to take that whenever possible.

I deeply appreciate your valued comments here. Yes, one must never repent rather try again to find the opportunity better or equal than the lost. Lucky are those to whom opportunity itself knocks :) Thanks for response too.

I had an opportunity to take a better paying job but my wife and kids did want to leave their friends. So we stayed and two years later they wished that we had moved. It has been 14 years now and I have not been given another opportunity. It used to bother me but now I am over it even though I don't believe that I will have that opportunity again.

Yes, life is full of opportunities or chances, and we would all like to think that if we missed out on the opportunities that would come again so that hopefully the next time we would not miss them, it is always good to have an open mind and be on the look out for what may prevail us, I have missed a golden chance to go to America when I was only 18 years old and hopefully one day I shall be able to have this chance again in my life as I have heard so much and have relatives there that I have not met as yet.

Yes. It is not about chances or luck. It is about creating the life you want. You might have missed something great, but you don't really know for sure if that is how it would have turned out. So, you have decided to move in a different direction because you believe there is greater opportunity. Good. You create your own luck and chances to be better. If you are always looking back and regretting what might have been, you rob yourself of the opportunity to move forward.

Having a good or golden opportunity come your way is lucky, but having the same good opportunity come twice your way is a blessing! Like you, i also missed a good job opportunity working with an international corporation but i also have not thought about that since. I dont want to waste my time thinking about it because i was the one who made the decision then and no matter how hard i try to think about it or regret, it will never come again.. What i can say is, if there is a good opportunity that comes your way, you have to really think about it before making a decision. Gather opinions from different trusted people and consider everything from all angles. Once you have made your final decision, never regret it whether the result was not as expected. What's important is that you have made a decision for yourself and you should stick or stand to it because not every body is lucky to have a good opportunity pass by them.

One would never term it bad luck even if one loose an opportunity, this is the one way that we chosen after thinking upon pro & cons, isn't it! What we call a mistake, is actually the first step to our success ... sometimes hehehe ;) Thanks for your contribution here.

I recently blew an interview at a great company. I didn't do it intentionally, and I don't know what happened... but I would have been good at that job, would have loved that job, and would have been so happy there. It's disheartening as I am so unhappy at my current job.

O yes, I missed once and I hope I would have a better one. Actually I applied for a job and I got my test passed then called for interview. While interviewing they asked me for my educational transcripts and I told them that my result is awaited. O God! they refused me otherwise I could had that one! But surely I am hopeful for best of luck.

There isn't anything I really repent not doing. I have had many oppotunities in my life some better then others. Each time I am faced with making a decision I way all the pros and cons. I have been giving many different job offers that appeared to be better because I would have had better benefits. When I looked at everything as a whole was the benfits worth waht I would have to give up? As long as I work hard there will always be golden chances out there.
