Problem in uploading bmp pictures in myLot, can anyone help ?

I have encountered a problem when uploading pictures to myLot discussions. It only allows uploading jpg pictures but whenever i try to upload bmp pix it gives a message saying 'unable to upload, error in uploading'
Can anyone help me on that regard ?? Thanx

BMP has a rather large amount of pixles. changing to format to JPG which is the best format for use on the internet is your best solution. softwares like Photoshop and ACDSEE whill help you convert to any format. I recommned Acdsee. It allows you to change to any format within seconds.

Thank you my friend. I found some nice pix on the internet that i wanted 2 share with you guys but the bmp thing had been a hurdle but i guess i know what 2 do now. Thanks for being there always.

Hello my friend, I think it is because it is too big, try and save the particular picture in jpeg form, you won't loose too much quality.
I use a program call thumbs, and it has a facility to change picture formats. But I'm sure paint will also change it. As soon as I get time I will try and let you know.

Yes i figured that. It's just i thought there was something wrong with the way i did it. I guess changing the format is the best solution. Thank you very much xxx
