God made the Earth for us to live in a garden of Eden for ever to never die and grow old, but to live youthfully on earth for ever. This is what will happen after armagedon all evil will be destroyed and the earth will become a beautiful garden again. Rev 104:5 He(god) has founded the earth upon it's established places; It will not be made to totter to time indefinite, or forever. So we are not meant to go to heaven we are meant to live on earth for ever and we will after armagedom. Lots of people think that when they die they will go to heaven but you don't, you go into the earth to await a ressurection like lazzarus, but this resurection will not be until armagedon and it will be a resurrection of judgement to eternal life or death depending on your deads.

One small problem with this. Someday the sun will run out of fuel and it will be lights out for the earth. Where to then?

The Sun is the mightiest Star and will not run out of fuel in Psalms 37: 29 The righteous themselves will possess the earth and they will reside for ever. That means that the sun will not destroy the earth the earth will be here for ever.

There is no escaping reality. Even if we assume that the natural laws of the universe are the creation of God, God obeys his own laws. Oue Sun is 4.5 billion years old. In that time it has used up about half of it's Hydrogen that it uses to fuel the fusion reaction that keeps it burning. There is enough fuel left for another 5 billion years and then it will go out. Now, 5 billion years is a long time but it is not eterinty. What then?

Jehovah created the sun, the earth and the heavens. He does not lie and he does love us. He would never state in the bible that we will live forever on earth if we seek him and practise his decisions, if we do this we will survive. The sun is Gods creation and he would not let it die out or destroy us.

I think you have a point, but God says he will build a new heaven and a new earth. How can that statement reconcile with your belief that heaven isn't for the majority of humans. If you would be saved you would be qualified to live in heaven as well as on earth. If your belief is true that not all humans,{those saved}are going to heaven, then you are implying that God is discriminating, i do not believe in that idea.God is a fair God,if you are saved you can stay in heaven and in earth, whatever the case would be more appropriate.

144,000 is very small compared to the vast and big space heaven can accomodate.

What is meant by a new heaven and a new earth is the new earth will be like it was originally meant, as a beautiful park like place that Adam and Eve orginally were meant to live in for ever, but thanks to Satan that changed and so now the prayer talks about a new earth for humans and a new heaven where not only Jesus lives but his prophets too. They will govern the earth from heaven, there are only 144,000 men and women who are in heaven and most are already there, in Revelation14:1 And I saw, Look the lamb standing upong the Mount Zion and with 144,000. Having his name and the name of his father written on their foreheads God made the earth for us to live on for ever and the heaven is only for a very few to help God and Jesus govern us.
