I wanted to get an over all view of what people think of the service they receive from their cities civil servants. Are you satisfied with the work they do from the tax dollar point of view? I've been with the cities Water Services for 26 years and I'm proud to be an employee and have enjoyed the most part of my service however I still see room for improvement in service and technology.

No..
I personally think Edmonton did a very poor job handling the snowfall this winter. They plowed over a week after the first big dump came down, and when they did the residential streets, they left huge piles of snow in front of houses. I actually could not park in front of my house from November up until a month ago when the snow started melting enough that I could spread it and let it melt.
In addition, our transit system is gradually getting worse instead of better. Bus drivers are surly, buses run late or not at all in the cold bitter winter months and the customer service reps at ETS are extremely unapologetic towards customer complaints and do nothing to rectify them.
About the only thing that I really am impressed with is Edmonton's waste management system and their co-composter facility where it turns the city residents' 200,000 tonnes of residential solid waste per year and 22,500 dry tonnes of biosolids into 80,000 tonnes of compost annually. That's very eco-conscious.
