Okay so I went to the 20th anniversary showing of Dirty Dancing last night and as I am watching it. I am looking at the Mom on there and I am like oh my gosh that is Grandma off of Gilmore Girls. All through the movie I am thinking about that and I am just in awe cause I never noticed that before. I get home and tell my husband and he goes now I have to go look and told him that is what I was planning to do too when I got home. Sure enough it was her. I found this so funny, especially since I just NOW noticed that after watching Dirty Dancing how many times?
Did anyone else already know this? Am I the onlly one that didn't?? lol

Actually i thought just the opposite of you. The first time i seen her on Gilmore girls, i thought, wait a minute thats the mother from Dirty Dancing
so was going to see it again worth it? i know they said extra scences i probably wont make it there tonight and will miss it, hopefully if the anniversary one comes out on DVD it will have the extra stuff.

I did notice this a while ago. But that is only because I made my daughter sit there and watch it with me last summer. ha ha
And when we turned on the movie, she was the first one to point out that she was Grandma from Gilmore Girls. ha ha
See...my daughter and I do the Gilmore-a-thon when each season is released.
We have not watched one episode from this season because we are waiting for it to be released this coming September. LOL
Strange...I know...but it will only take us a few weekends to get through the whole season. LOL And we get to avoid all the commericals and cliff hangers. LOL
I am sooooo scared this is going to be their last season!!!! What will we do without Gilmore Girls???? I love their wit too much!!!

I had no clue either. I'm not sure I've ever really paid any attention, although I have seen Gilmore Girls by accident a few times! Isn't it odd how you can be such a fan of something and watch it a million times yet still find something new about it?!
So was the anniversary version worth going to or was it pretty much not all that much extra?

you know what, i never saw the movie dirty dancing until about a year ago and yes i figured it out right away that it was the same actress that plays emily in gilmore girls. such a different character seeing her in something else.

She has some of the same traits as Grandma. I noticed last night. Like she told Baby while at the Golf Course to stand up straight. That is so something that Grandma would say. lol

Yes I figured it out about a year ago. Dirty Dancing came on tv about a year ago and that is when I noticed it. I called my mom right away to tell her and she already knew.
