Did Jesus really do Miracles?

I have never myself believed in Jesus or his story so the answer for me is no. But here are some interesting things to point out. JOHN, who recorded Jesus' supposed miracles constantly pointed out in a subtle way that they were not actually miracles. EXAMPLES: HEALING THE BLIND: Lets talk about the blind. The blind are very good at hearing. The recognize voice prints. Yet when Jesus healed the blind man several things went wrong. First is JOHN 9:1 Jesus talks about the blind man, whom is blind from birth within his earshot. He would have heard is voice then. Then in JOHN 9:4 he rubs clay on his eyes and says to him to go wash in the pool Siloam. He surely would have recognized him as the man talking about him, even if not he definitely would have recognized his voice now. Yet in JOHN 9:35 when he speaks to blind man again, the blind still plays stupid and lets Jesus go through ANOTHER spcheil about who he is. Jesus and the "Blind" beggar made an assumption about blind people and the acting is recorded as a flaw. Thats not all that goes wrong!! The next so called "Blind" man he healed screwed it up even more. Again he was supposedly blind since birth. Jesus says so! YET when he is healed the man reports that he can now see the people walking around like trees? How does a man who has been blind his whole life know what walking and trees look like? (MK 8:22-26) THEN - If you lived in a town and there was a blind man would you not recognize him as so? Because the towns people didn't.... they recognized him as a beggar. HE even admitted it was he. (JOHN 9:8) Then to top it off, the Rabbi's and the neighbors did not believe him, nor his parents, that he was blind from birth and he was thrown out of the city! (JOHN 9:34) If is own neighbors did not believe he was blind and remembered him only as a beggar not a blind man, why should we? This is just the beginning lets not forget when he fed all those people. It says in the bible (good ol' John) that Jesus made everyone LIE DOWN in tall grass JOHN 6:5-10), then when they sat up he had food. He bought the food and most likely hid it in the grass near his feet or in a hole or depression next to his feet; I COULD do that!! Then many did not believe he performed a miracle and called him on it! And when Jesus was confronted with them, saying he didn't NOT bring the bread, he then said, HE WAS THE BREAD. (JOHN 6:26-40) So either way you look at it he brought some bread to everyone that day! It goes on and on like this, even his walking on water was an illusion by confused men who lost in a storm at night and saw him merely walking on shore... how do we know? Because they thought they saw him walking on water then immediately ran aground and he walked over to them.... That one is funny. So...just because someone is a good con-artist doesn't make them a god or the son of G-d. We would no be so easily fooled nowadays but back then, it only took a clever man and a little help.

I believed God created all things in the universe through Jesus Christ. If we don't believed in God,then Jesus' miracles are nothing but tricks.

I believe Jesus performed Miracles, I'm a Muslim also I believe all prophets performed miracles, which is the proof for people, to understand they are the messenger/prophet of God. It's actually done by God through prophets and prophets were only a cause of such events. Moses beat on the river and splits, moses drop the stick and turn into snake, Jesus cure blind and deceases, Jesus talk from cradle, Mohammad gives water from fingers etc. (Peace be up on them)

Ah but I am talking about whether he actually was true prophet or a very good trickster.

Food for thought: Any technology that is unknown to the viewer, will appear to be magic. Think about that when you think about miracles.

I never said Jesus didn't exist, we all know he existed. Even without the voice print knowledge its all still to hokey pokey for me. I don't need to open my eyes mine are open. I will never be a Christian.... or a gentile. It's not happening that way. I am glad you are satisfied with your replacement G-d. I keep it real over here. No really whatever you are happy with is good for you but I don't appreciate people telling me I need to open my eyes and believe in something because everyone else does.

what Jesus did is something which we also can achieve. He healed people by positive thinking by using his energy to heal someone. He was on earth to teach us that we can do that kind of things too.(Watch the movie the secret). Also there is this thing called quantom touch. With your energy (positive) you can heal someone.Sometimes small things sometimes big things.I do think he's the son of God because he was send by God ( you can see that in Genesis when he's talking about let us make animals or something like that).Jesus knew how to use his energy we can learn that too.

But who knows he was sent by g-d? How do you really know this? I don't believe in the validity of the new testament so I can't use this as proof. As far as healing with powers, if this works so well (and I have tried it) why don't they use it in the hospital? Thanks for you post.

Either you're Jewish or you're not Christian. But from what I can see is you're Jewish, so it's natural for you not to believe in Jesus. Still waiting, huh? I do have reconsiderations to make in terms of religion. I thought I might as well not believe any. There are just too many gods being considered by other people I don't even know who's real anymore. As far as I can remember, me being a student of a Roman Catholic School, we had our Religion subject and we had bible study once in a while. Unluckily I was asked to explain the miracle of Jesus feeding the 5000 people with 5 loaves of bread and two fish. I answered maybe Jesus just tore the bread to pieces in a way everyone had his share, not that he literally got many bread pieces out of nowhere. the next thing I know I was a blasphemer. :D anyway, it's okay to talk about beliefs and faith, but it's a good rule of thumb not to disrespect other people's beliefs. it's okay for you to be skeptical about Jesus, but some people may think of it as an insult. walk carefully. L'Chayeem!

Well I realise you are secure in your faith but I have seen things that would be modern day miracles but those who believe in miracles look for them and those that dont would call it a coincidence. I know of someone I went to high school with. She recently had to have surgery because she had been diagnosed with bone cancer that was eating her skull away. They ran all the test they even found 2 other spots in her shoulder. She went and had the operation and after the operation they removed the area but found it wasnt cancerous anymore. Between the time she had the operation and the time test were done she had went to a christian faith healer. Now is it possible the test were somehow wrong or that it went into remission within a months time? of course it is. Is it possible that faith alone was enuff to change the quantum structure of her cells and it had nothing to do with god or religion? If thats the case why cant we heal by thought alone, it always seems to take faith and an enormous amount of it. I see it not as the individual but their faith in god. Even Jesus said that he was able to do things because of the spirit of god that dwelled in him. So however it was done I think it is enuff that it was done. So you can choose to think everything is an accident and I really dont think anything I could say would change your mind because in reallity you dont want to change your mind about anything you take comfort in what you know and I the same.

In the book of Matthew 13:11 He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given. In this verse, Jesus talks about the things that you're talking about (miracles). What he's telling his disciples in this verse is the mysteries of God will only be shown to them that believe. You have already said that you are a non-believer so of course you're going to find fault in what is written. I grew up in church. But I never realized how real God was until he took me out of my life's biggest problem. Then I started to read the bible and started to see things in a different view. Sometimes the bible gets hard for us to understand, then again it was only made for the believers. If you don't believe in miracles, remember this.... You are a living miracle. Everyday that you wake up, you become a miracle. Reason being is that you never know when or where you are going to die. God might not want to live on after today, but if you wake up in the morning, he's giving you another chance. When you wake up, you should thank God that you're still living. He's the one that blows the breath of life into our nostrills. I give thanks to my lord for giving me this oppurtunity to share of his love with you. Amen
