Please tell me your experiences about this. Does it work? Hoe many glasses do you take? Is it false? Does it relax you??

I have always heard that warm milk helps you fall asleep faster. I don't really like warm milk, but my son does. We don't usually give him warm milk during the day because he does fall asleep more, so we just give him some warm milk about 45 minutes before bed. Milk has some amino acid that has a sedative like effect and calcium, which helps the brain relax. I have also heard that honey can also help you be put to sleep. Some people will put honey in their warm glasses of milk. Now that sounds good. I might try the honey in my warm milk, maybe I will like it better. :)

I've never really experienced this to be true. On second thought, coffee does not do anything to keep me awake either. maybe it's just me, my body doesn't really get affected by whatever they have. Why don't you try and see for yourself? Let us know your experience.

Yes, I think so. It does help me sleep every night (I drink regularly). But then again, coffee and chocolate also do the same to me... so maybe it's not about the milk. Maybe it's about feeling warm, or feeling satisfied. Still, even if it's just placebo effect, drinking milk at night has other benefits than putting you to sleep. It keeps you healthy. So drink milk. Even if not for sleep, then for your health. If you really want to sleep, a nice book or walking for awhile helps too. Books lulls me to close my eyes, and walking exhausts me.

yes, medically its true, sleep is activated in our body by a chemical..which i forgot the name, but this chemical is responsible to enduce sleep to a person, and milk has this chemicals in it, and this makes you relax for sleep... =)
