Every year I plant the same two type of flowers Vinca, and Impatient. This year I brought Marigold, and Petunia. Do you always plant the same annuals yearly?

Yes and no. I design and install flower beds so yes I plant the same stuff. But it isn't the "same". I plant all of the usual annuals such as Aegeratum, Marigold, Impatiens, Salvia, Coleus, Plectranthus, Ricinus, Strobolanthes, Begonia, Snapdragon, Celosia, Brugmansia, Datura and more. The list is endless.

I pick up some Coleus at Lowes. I have not plant them yet. Are they easy to grow and drought tolerant?

I like the Latin names. If someone calls something "Dinglebells" it could be anything. LOL. "Dr. Seuss" is actually a Brugmansia species. Had you not put the Aegeratum I would have thought you would talking about something totally different. The same goes for a lot of plants. What people call Black Eyed Susan is one of the 27 species of Rudbeckia. It could be 1 of 27 to me. I would only use a few of the 27. Most of them are weeds to me. Solenostemon species are very easy to grow. Some do better in full sun than others. It is also easy to get cuttings to sprout as well. Solenostemon = Coleus. I called it Solenostemon in front of my last employer 6 or 7 years ago and she said with a nasty tone " That is not whatever you said. It is a coleus." Then I corrected her and told her that they reclassified it as Solenostemon and the Genus Coleus does not exist. She wanted to argue with me. So I said "There is a difference between you and I. I read about plants as well as learn something new about them every day. But you do not." I told her to believe what she wants but I know because I love plants and work for her because it is what I wanted to do not because I needed a job. 3 years later I started my own company and she finished the year and quit.

I always have geraniums in planters on my front steps. I alternate between agetum (Sp?) aka... dr. suess flowers, lobelia, or dusty miller. I love sweet alyssum, so that goes around my rose bushes. My children then get to each pick their annual to plant in a flower bed. my son always picks marigolds, my middle child loves both petunias and pansies, and can never decide which one. So she picks one, and then the youngest gets the other. :) seems to work, and the gardens are always lovely and colorful!

Does agetum mean Aegeratum? It is a border plant with bluish, white, pink or purple flowers? Just curious.

yup, that's what I mean. My flower naming isn't the greatest. That's why we make up names for those little things. :) My kids call them dr. suess flowers as they look like the little puffs that are on the Who's from whooville. :)

Every year I do plant marigolds because I like the way they look with the green leaves of other plants, and I also plant impatients, but other than that no I try to plant different plants from year to year, right now I am trying to get a lot of perenaills in so I dont have to plant so many annuals anymore.

Yeah, I do tend to stick to the same annuals in my plots. That's because they are tried and true and I'm not patient enough to deal with failure in the garden LOL. I always plant vinca and coleus, and marigolds in my garden (to keep away bugs). The only place I let myself venture into new territory is with my pots. I have 3 containers and I tend to try out new things each year. This year I got some Begonias and some African Daisies. I can't wait to see how they turn out!
