Did auditioning ever crossed your mind and what song would you audition with?

I think about auditioning almost every season. Of course I never got to it. Every season during the audition process, I always wonder how I would do if I auditioned. When I'm driving in my car, I always think about what song I would do and then try to sing it. Have you ever tried something like that?

My husband is always bothering me to audition. I just laugh and tell him he's crazy. I love to sing and have been singing for most of my life. I had a vocal music scholarship in college and have performed since I was young, but I don't think I could do it. I think that it would ruin me to have them publicize every flaw I have including those that have nothing to do with music. I entertain the idea in my head, but I don't think I could ever do it. I actually had considered the very question of what song I would audition with the other day. I'm still not sure. It would have to be a fairly recognizable song, but one that would show my range without making me sound ridiculous like most of the people did at asudition this year. Do those people really think that they sound good enough to cut it? And what about their families and friends that tell them that they have potential? How horrible for them to be lied to. What song would you audition with?

The song that always came to mind for auditioning with would be Blue Bayou by Linda Rodstant. I always sing that song on the Karaoke mic. I've been singing that song for years. I also thought about maybe trying to sing a song by Lisa Lisa. I think I sound good for island music but I'm not american idol type.

That's cool. Thanks for sharing. I still haven't decided what song I would sing. I used to sing Stay by Lisa Loeb when I would karaoke. But that's not exactly an Idol winning song, you know.

I know better. I used to sing in a choir throughout grade school and high school and thought I was a pretty good singer. Then one day, my sister and I decided to tape ourselves singing to rock songs that we picked (music playing softly so we could hear it, but you would not hear it on the tape), Anyway, my singing was shockingly bad, even to me! So I have no illusions that I could be on American Idol. I am content to just watch it and know that you will never see me on the auditions of folks you love to laugh at.
