how to fall asleep at night when you have an insomnia?

i usually found myself late at night still blinking my eyes and finding a hard time to sleep. i want to sleep but my instinct didn't work? can you give me an advise?

Meditation is the best way to fall asleep. Apart from making you fall asleep almost immediately, it also ensures that you get a very wholesome and restful sleep. You could meditate by imagining a blank wall, or a candle flame, or any object, or even better, think of nothing at all (if you can, that is). Do this while you're trying to sleep, lying down, and you'll be asleep before you know it. Drinking a warm glass of milk with a teaspoon of honey also helps to fall asleep. You could also try taking a warm shower, but that doesn't necessarily work for everyone.

a warm bath and a glass of warm milk could help. also, i read the night away to tire my eyes.

I will try to say a few tips that I heard and follow. 1. Never bring outside tension home. That will get solved by itself. 2. Finish dinner atleast by 8 or 8/30 pm so that heaviness will not be there in the stomach. 3. Drink hot milk before going to bed. 4. Put on proper clothing like warm cloths during winter and cotton cloths during summer etc. as wrong clothing also plays a significant role in falling asleep. 5. Think of or visualise pleasant things like you are wondering in a beautiful garden full of different coloured flowers with good fragrance. 6. My husband says count 1 2 3 4 and slowly you will go into sleep. 7. You can watch blue light, you will fall asleep. 8. About me, if I sit before computer or read a book, I get sleep.
