on my own experience.. i have.. we physically have not met.. we only knew each other in a chat room.. we exchanged experiences.. stories.. and we almost talked everything under the sun.. then we had a conversation on how it is to be on beaches on a summer day.. it was in the summer of 2002.. after 4 days knowing each other inside the chat room, we decided to go on a trip.. we only personally saw each other when we are about to leave for mindoro.. it was a different experience.. totally different being with the same crowd on bars.. there, we danced under the moonlight in tune of "nothings gonna stop us now" by the starship.. (i know its not a song for a slow dance but we both love that song.. we ate by our hand on a banana leaf plate.. catched little crabs.. built a bonfire.. we dont know each other before we left but we are like bonded together after the trip.. we lost communication together but when we still have, she was telling me that every time she tell our story to her friends they wud say.. WOW! You start trying.. it just a matter of trust..

I met my husband online and we've been married for 8 years. Things turned out very well for us. But we didn't meet until we had known each other for about a year. I don't think I would have rushed off to meet him after 4 days. You have to be really careful when meeting people that you've chatted with online, because few people are really what they seem to be. There are a lot of predators out there who will take advantage of you or hurt you, and I encourage anyone who is meeting someone from the internet to do so in a well-lit crowded place. Trust is great, but until they've earned that trust, you need to be safe.
