Did you hear about the 3000 year old mummy they found in Bolivia ?

The mummy turned out to be that of a PRIEST of some ancient culture , and guess what they found buried with him ? GOLD , lots and lots of gold !! Not some holy book or other religious artifact , just a lot of MONEY !! For 3000 years , that's what religion comes down to in the end , control and profit . That's how long the charade has been going on !!

Yes, the charade has been going on a long time. Is it surprising that one of the charade's leaders thought he could take it with him?
I mean come on, as one of the leaders of the elite class hoodwinking the common working people out of their gold, what made this guy think he "Could take it with him."?
I'm guessing he thought he'd take it along, "Just in case." or perhaps, he'd come to worshipe the gold!
Any idea what the anthropologists say?

Hi red , thanks for replying ! That's an excellent observation : that the priest seemed to believe his own lies ! But maybe that was the ultimate part of the trick : to appear to the public as someone who really believes the cult , not just selling it to people for control and power . Here's a link to the original story , but the correct date is 1300 , not 3000 . I heard the news from TV so that maybe why I got the number wrong .
