Lord of the Rings set

I have over the years read the books several times so was a dead cert that I would buy the DVD's when they came out. This was a while a go now and I opted to wait for the 4 disc limited edition set. Unlike other DVD purchases have made over the years this is one that I feel has definatly been good value for money as I still watch them from time to time and have probably watched the movies now as many times as have read the book. The best thing about them is if have a slow day with nothing on can start on disc one in th emorning and finish the set in the evening ;). Any other Movies on DVD that offer that ?

Same addiction I have here, I remember my dad asking me to get another DVD so he can watch something else. If you want to watch something else with the same interest you can probably try Troy. Its not as mystical and amazing as LOTR but hey its a great one too.

You may want to buy the extended versions of the movies. Many scenes deleted in the theater version are in the extended versions.

I have the remastereed limited addition starwars(Original films) on Video not watched in quite a longtime. And on the LOTR set I have the Esxtended special edition of them on DVD. The ones made too look like 3 Books Green/Red/Blue.

Star wars complete set, 6 DVD's, unfortunately though the last 3 as you might know are from back in the old days. But the re-enhanced versions in the box sets are made quite a lot better luckily. In total you will probably need more than one day to watch them all in a row, I believe it is 18.5 hours or so, but not sure. Only watched them all at once one time and that was even without the extended versions, it definitely is a long run :P.
