I want to start my own gift shop with a pack and mail in it. But, here's the kicker, it terrifies me. Working for myself would be so cool. BUt the scary part is committing my families finances to such a venture. Statistically, most businesses fail within the first five years. Another large percentage fail within the next five years. I've done a lot of research on the concept I've developed and even know some good people I can hire. But do I take my family into uncharted waters and risk everything or do I just keep working and making money for someone else.
