NIV Proverbs 2: 1-8 1. My child, listen to me and treasure my instructions. 2. Tune your ears to wisdom, and concentrate on understanding. 3. Cry out for insight and understanding.
4. Search for them as you would for lost money or hidden treasure. 5. Then you will understand what it means to fear the LORD, and you will gain knowledge of God. 6. For the LORD grants wisdom! From his mouth come knowledge and understanding.
7. He grants a treasure of good sense to the godly. He is their shield, protecting those who walk with integrity. 8. He guards the paths of justice and protects those who are faithful to him.
We need to seek His ways, His words, seek a personal relationship with Him. Seek and listen for wisdom and instruction. Call out daily for insight and understanding. We need Godly wisdom because it says in the bible that our wisdom is as filthy rages.
Godly wisdom is pure, sweet, wholesome, right standing with God. God wants us to seek him and his ways so we can be equipped to do what he has placed before us. Soldiers never go to battle before they are trained and neither should we. We are in a daily spiritual battle and we need to be trained in what to do.

THis is true that we should seek Godly wisdom. NOt earthly, wisdom. In James 3:15, He talks about "earthly wisdom" "This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic." (NKJV) But Godly wisdom is "But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, [and] easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy." (James 3:17 KJV)

His words were true long ago when he was upon the earth and trying to teach others and they are even more important today as we struggle with life and life's decisions. He's the one that knows all and can guide us in the ways we are to go. Thank you so much for reminding us.
