Selling an Item for Someone Else

I currently sold an item through ebay to someone else, but I don't have the item they just sent me the pictures...after the auction ended the winning bidder sent me a payment of around $200,since this is a fairly large amount of money Iam skeptical about sending this money to the party when there is no guarentee that the winning bidder will recieve the item that they have one Personally,I think the person is a con artist and at the risk of having my pay-pal acct. suspended, losing points on my ebay acct.and maybe a prosecution Iam stuck between a rock and a hard place What should I do

To be honest I would never, ever, sell anything for anyone else on my eBay account. It leaves you wide open to this kind of situation and can seriously damage your eBay reputation. The only time i have ever sold anything for anyone else, I insisted that the item was, in fact, in my possession and that I took the photos and did the listing myself. When the item sold, I received the money into my account and only then did I send the goods. I sent the item recorded delivery so it had to be signed for and I would only hand over the proceeds of sale to my friend after the buyer had left feedback saying his was happy. It is a dreadful risk selling for others these days, all I can suggest is that you refund the buyer, be prepared to get a negative comment, and walk away. In future don't agree to selling for anyone else hun

It seems like you don't know the person for whom u sold the product .. obviously he might not forced you to sell his item.. right ?? So if u don't believe the person then just simply tell him that it's not easy to trust and tell him to ship the item for the first time .. and next time if u receive payment u will definitely send it to him.. and when he ships the item and u are sure that the item is delivered to your customer and your customer is happy then simply send him the money .. and next time u will do it instantly rather than thinking so much..

Wow I would not send the money to the person until the guy tells you he recieved it. I sold something for someone once and never will do it again. There are too many fees that I didn't include in the fee for selling so I ended up losing money and was worried about the person not getting the item. Never again.

Return the money to the owner with sorry and request him not to put negative markings on your ebay image. Youlose points from ebay only if customer complaints about your behaviour.

averageJoe23 my advice is to return the money and forget about this business and be happy that you didn`t lose the money, because if you send the money to the scammer the buyer will make a refund on your paypal account and also could announce the legal authorities.

that is why i don't like to sell something to someone because i don't like to have problems in the future like what happen to you after you sell that item to someone, especially when it came from online market.i didn't mean that online is not that good but not all online is good.
