i have been thinking about performing a detox for years, but i was concerned because i am contented with my body as of the moment thank you... that i really can't afford to lose a pound more... however, i also realize that no matter what a persons size, toxins are as much a threat to my health as they are to anyone else's health. if i were to use "body wrap" are there any precautions that i should take? or is there a better detoxing tool that i should consider?

I can't help you with the body wrap question, but an old wives detox is to use young rhubaarb. Not the leaves, because they are poisonous, but the stalky bits. Stew them down and make a sort of pudding. It'll be really sour, but you can add some honey to make it taste better. Earliest records date back to 2700 BC in China where Rhubarb was cultivated for medicinal purposes (its purgative qualities). The common name is from the Greek rheo ('to flow'), in allusion to the purgative properties of the root.

There's a lot of hype about detoxing but according to doctors, it isn't necessary and can be harmful in some cases.
