Auto Registrations - what do you think?

I had to get my truck registered at the beginning of this month and noticed a new change to the registration stickers. It was a few years ago that Texas converted the registration stickers to be printed on laser printers as you wait. I thought it was pretty neat advancement at the time. The other day though, the change I immediately noticed was the blue backing on the sticker. I mentioned that it looked different (meaning smaller) to the teller and she just mumbled something about it having a nice blue border this time. I hadn't noticed the border yet, because it doesn't show until you peel it off the sheet. When I actually put the sticker on, I did notice the border & thought to myself that it was a nice look, from the outside.... On all the previous windshield stickers, the sticker was fairly see thru so you could tell (from inside) when your sticker was dated. I'm not sure if they thought this one out so well though. The blue backing now blocks the dates from being seen from inside, however, it now sports the note "Check the Date, Love your State!" I'm not exactly prone to getting tickets for not having my stickers up to date, but there is always that nervous glance to the corner of the windshield whenever spotting a cruising patrolcar. Hmmmmm. Now would you consider this a well thought out solution to increase state revenues or sheer short sightedness?

hey paid, wow you guys still do that. Here in Indiana we have not had the sticker on the windshield since I was in my teens, I did not even think that they did that anymore.

We used to have them on our license plates, but I didn't mind it when they went to windshield stickers. It was a lot easier to remember when they're due, lol. So where do you put them now?

Hi dear! Here in the Philippines, we also have stickers on the windshield and on the plates as well. And they are also transparent. Which I agree with you to be more convenient, especially you can glance at it easily. To let them transparent would have been a better option.~~lol Have a great day! (^^,)
