Getting a degree online definitely does not come close to classroom education, but then it depends which college you are talking about. In india, there is a culture of bunking classes massively - if this is what you're going to do at college, you might as well take up an internet course. To top it, the syllabus in colleges is also so pathetic that none of it is useful when you get a job. On the other hand, if the quality of the full-time course is good, and if the faculty and facilities are good, then an online course can never match up to it

It depends upon the how well online studies and support is being provided institutes reputaion ect. as e-education industry is growing fast so in coming time it would be prefferable to go for online courses because if we will not follow technology we will left behind.

Nothing can be compared to a first hand knowledge. Classroom teaching is so age old, but has precedence over everything else. It is so because it is the best means to learn and to apply. Personally, I feel classroom or institutionalised coaching is comparatively better. But for working people or for people who cannot attend the class regularly or if the university is too far a distance then online degree is more suitable and feasibile.

i believe that going to an actual institute gives you the experience which studying online does not. It is the experience of physical communication with lecturers, tutors and students - as well as getting direct information at the times when you are supposed to - instead of receiving an email and reading it a week later. But actually, i think most universities now mostly have assignments online - or you can access recorded lectures online so we won't really need to go to lectures. but some classes may have field trips and laboratory work which is impossible to do online. Exams would also be a problem - by having them online they kind of lose credibility due to maybe the ease of cheating. Fraud is also very easy. So, i think that getting an education online will never be as credible as going to a real university/college/institution.

in my own point of view, studying in an institute is much better than online education. online and institute have different approach of learning. there is less probabilty to learn more in online rather than in an institute. aside from online teaching bores you, it makes you feel incomplete(like having practice sessions, lunch together with your classmates, etc.).

Hello,amae_sandy,I think it is better to study in institute rather than getting an online degree,in the insitute, you will have normal class and the tutors or lecturers will guide you properly in your learning process, you will get help from them if you get any questions, for online studying, you may not get immediate solutions from the lecturers as you need to wait for their email replies, your learning progress will be hugely impeded.

I believe that having a degree in the institute is better than getting it online. Real and face-to-face interaction is possible only when you're at school. I've experienced it before in a college that I attended. They offered this course which is online wherein the professor talks in a box seen on the screen. We listened to the lecture but it's really an unnatural experience as I easily was losing my attention to what the teacher is saying. It's kinda dizzying too. There was hardly any interaction between the professor and us, students. In order to find answers to our questions, we still need to send them over the network and wait for days before we get answers. In the online exams, we have hard times answering each item as we don't have any recallection and even a clear understanding of the discussed topic. I'm glad now that I'm in a new institute. It's far better here than before and I will never exchange the way I'm learning here to online courses.

by my view point going to an institution is very important when a student goes to school he or she meets with many other fellows and children he develops a sense of brother hood, sharing,he delops confidence to speak with others and also develops good manners he knows how to respond in a certaian situation without parents being involved in schools and colleges there are certain extra curricular activities such as games art compititions etc which a child does not learn at home sitting in front of computer all day but something a child may learn by computer he increases a lot lot of knowledge etc so an institute is a best place to study .
