i am one of the CHICKENS who's afraid to go to those monsters for us... the dentists!!!... i would prefer to go to a haunted house rather than going to my dentist... i act like a child whenever my dentist do something to my teeth and aches when some tools are inserted inside my mouth... are you one of us?!... no i do not belong to your group. it is important to see the dentist at least once a year. they are in fact recommending that we see our dentist twice in each year (that will be every six months). we need to have that prophlaxis or the cleaning of the theeth in order to have the plaque removed. if we do not do this we are in danger of losing our teeth to tooth loss due to cavities.

yeah, i can figure out what you are saying... all of us know that we should go to dentist not when you feel the pain but as much as possible, regularly... i've been to my dentist once every three months and i am struggling to conquer it... thanks for the response trinidadvelasco!!... have a nice day ahead!!... Godspeed!!... Ü

welcome to the club, LOL!! i don't like dentists as well. the feeling is weird especially when they put the anesthetics on. but you can eat ice cream to soothe the pain afterwards, hehehe!!

I still don't like going to the dentist but by going for short visits and working up to longer periods in the chair I am able to complete a full cleaning now. My husband refuses to go and the only way to get him to go is if one of his teeth start to ache. He is going to lose his teeth one of these days. He is really a chicken.

i cant say its a full blown phobia for me, but yeah i HATE going to the dentist. and always put it off until no over the counter pain killers will ease the ache. i think the very worse part is them sticking that needle IN YOUR MOUTH!! ugh i hate that! i had a "substitute" dentist once that was amazingly gentle with the needle and novacaine..man i wish she was my full time dentist. she injected the novacaine very slowly and that made a HUGE difference in the amount of pain. almost didnt feel anything past the first little prick. ive had a lot of work done, and some of the work needs to be repaired, but im still not going until i reach my pain threshold!! lol and i can take a lot of pain!
