Life is challenging at the moment. I want to dream about tropical beaches and islands. My favourite is thinking back to the wonderful time I went to Samoa in the pacific ocean. I loved seeing the waving palm trees and golden sandy beaches. I enjoyed snorkellling to see the brightly coloured fish and coral. It was fun to stay in an open thatched buiding called a fale. Are you dreaming of any far away places?

When I am having a hard time I like to think about my vacations at Crete. Nothing as exotic as Samoa I am sure, your stay there sounds wonderful, but still very nice. I love everything about Crete. the people, the air, the smells, the flowers, the food, the landscape, tha small villages with hardly any tourists, the beaches, the lovely clean sea. I hope your life gets easier soon.

I feel fine again now. I was sad because I had found out that my unborn son had spina bifida. Now he has been born he is in hospital getting fixed up. I hope that he will be ready to come home soon.

I am so sorry to hear that your son is having problems. I hope the doctors will be able to help him so that you may take him home soon, and I hope he is not in much pain. My best wishes to you and your son.

When you are talking tropical beaches and islands I always think about The Beach with Leonardo Di Carpio in it, breath taking scenes of Phuket, Thailand, wonderful to be there. Whenever I am feeling down and blue I always watch that film and it makes me feel as if I am there, I wish I was but you can't have everything. It must be wonderful to be there, golden sands and the warm sea. Although now that I have been to Rhodes I can remember the wonderful times I had there this year and the things I did there, truly wonderful experience. I love the sea anyhow and find it a very therapeutic place to be whether in mind or body or both.

Oh yes wolfie34 I own a DVD of the film The Beach and I also enjoyed reading the book. The scenery on it is fantastic, the blue sea and waving palm trees. I wish I could be there right now. I watched another film with tropical scenery set in the Caribbean. It is called Deep Water. It is about a couple that go out on a diving trip. I went to Greece when I was 14 and thought it was so beautiful over there. Then I went to Tunisia when I was 19 and thought it was fantastic there. Then when I got to Fiji in the South Pacific when I was 20 I thought it looked like paradise. Years later I realize it is tropical scenery I like most when I travel. This year I went to Portugal because I have a young baby but hopefully I will have a long haul holiday with him next year.
