lol....... my wife told me to ask you guys about this. She keeps lookin at my Laptop when I am on Mylot........ I think she would be interested in joining in here too...... wow......... she has enough time on her hand....... la la la la........ I will have a very healthy referral under me............ :P I am just 55 kilos and my wife is touchin close to 65. And one fine day, she decides to go on a diet........ crazy...... and tells me to bring her lots of fruits........ she tells me........ that she just wants to eat fruits........ I never knew what was the reason for that. And realized it later that she was on a diet........ to reduce her weight......... lol....... And, I was bringing Mango's for her. C'mon it was not my fault. I never knew she was on a diet, I thought she just wanted to be on fruits for some time........... and then I tell her Mango's are a strict "No No" if you are on a diet. She was like.......... I'm a dumbo...... I mean she said that about her........ :P So, guys........ help her with this one. What do you have when you are on a diet. She prefers fruits though.

I have never gone on a diet but friends of mine have. They ate fruit and lots of vergetables and lots of salad. I think having good salads were the main things for them. I am not sure how many calories they are but lentiles in a salad is really good and adds more flavour, she should try it, add other stuff to like cucumber, maybe even small pieces of grilled no skin chicken. Sorry i don't have much advice but hope that helps :)

If u wanna loose weight the best way is to eat right and also go for walks or jogging sometmes. If u eat entirely fruit you will loose weight but when u go back to regular food the risk that u will gain it all back and then some id huge. Just eat healthy and exercise some and she will see that it pays off.

Portion control is really a big thing as well, for example: bread should be about a cassette tape size. You will notice many breads at the store is 2 servings for just one slice! Meat should be about the size of your fist for one serving. Fruit and vegetable serving (cooked, canned or frozen) will be half a fist size. Fresh fruit such as orange/apple (round fruit), about the size of your fist is one serving, bigger fruit such as a banana, medium size of these fruits is one serving. So you will notice that many times what you are getting if you go to restaurants to eat will be really 5 to 6 portions! Pablo

To lose weight it is important to live a healthier life, a healthy life starts with healthy food and raw fruits and vegetables are the healthiest food. I recommend that she starts her weight loss program by having five fruits a day and focusing on feeling good. Raw fruits and raw or cooked vegetables are the only right nutrition for human beings. Stay away from: animal food; white flour; refined sugar; stimulants. Good for weight lost: Acid fruits…lemons and oranges, plums, peaches, tomatoes (tomatoes are fruits), all berries. Watermelons: what's very special about watermelons is that they contain as much iron as spinach….eat as much of them as you like. Stay away from banana and any starchy fruit and potatoes. When you change diet, in the beginning your body is focused on detoxification and it takes about 10 days to detoxificate first before you start loosing weight.

Not just for dieting but because I have changed my lifestyle I have eaten for the past year lots of garden salads with all the trimmings, baked chicken or fish, no white bread or sugar, and only diet soda or green tea. I used to be 189 lbs now I am 130lbs and have stayed that way for a year. I am healthier now than I have been in many years.

Fruits and cottage cheese in place of a meal is good and grapefruit is one of the best for diets. But she needs regular exercise too or it is a waste of time.

When I am on a diet I eat more vegetables and fruit and that's what your wife is eating so she is on the right path. If your wife can combine exercising and a healthy diet it's even better and she can lose weight faster if she wants to. Yes your wife can be a good referral under you on mylot. I think you can open an account for her but read the terms of use first to be sure that you will not violate their rules. Good luck to your wife!

I am dieting, I have lost 28 lbs since January. I have 72lbs more to go. I am one of those American's who did not get their stomache stapled. I am doing this the old fashioned way. I am getting couseling from a company called LA Weightloss. I go in once a week to weigh in. This week I have lost three pounds. I eat lots of fresh vegetable, I stay away from breads and cereals. I do eat meat. Chicken, fish and I do love my beef. I am learning to cook leaner and eat smaller portions. I am doing some walking and working in the garden just a little in the graden. I drink lots of water. Infact I drink mostely all water, I will drink some ice tea. I hope this helps her.

haha.. i think i will eat fish, some meat... and more vegetables if i'm on my diet.. i disagree with some teenagers which reduce the amount of food they consumed daily just because they're on diet.. do you agree with it? i think there's no point if you reduce your food..you have get a proper diet.. you need all the nutrients... reducing the amount of food you consumed daily will only reduce your energy.. thus.. making you feeling more tired.. sometimes.. my friends even complain to me that they're stsrving just to diet.. gosh.. that's not diet.. that's more like torturing yourself.. don't you think so?

fruits, vegetables, fish, just 1 half of cup of plain rice as a serving. meat only three times a week and only three ounces at that. try to cut down on bread and it will be okay. If she doesn't eat a balanced meal she will get sick.

Aaaa...i dont like diets. I am not a slave of my kilograms and if they are some more, i will not accept it as a great dramma. They are different diets-some are fruitable, other-vegetable, third- milk one...blabla, what a nonsense! After each diet the kilograms come back again. It`s better to eat everything, but in smaller portions. Enjoy:-)

Well in regards to eating when you are on a diet of course fruit is one of the best things that your wife could eat, all fruit is good for you I do not understand why your wife would say that Mango is not good for her in regards to a diet, but the main fruits are bananas and oranges which are full of potassium, you must also watch the amount of dairy products that you are taking when on any diet.

I've tried most diets know to mankind...I haven't found one that works. What worked for me in the past was coffee and a blueberry muffin for brekfast, A can of cold green beens with italian dressing on them and for dinner a small meal of lean meat or fish, a veggie and a fruit. I get on a fruit kick frequently.. Apples- plain, baked with sugar substitue and cinnamon sprinkled on top, Pineapple - plain, grilled, mixed with yogurt, Blueberries/ Strawberries- by the handful plain, in cereal, blueberries sprinkled in a baked apple is good. How about Baby Spinach leaves with sliced strawberries, blueberries and feta cheese. Top with poppyseed dressing....mmm goood and healthy.

I like to follow the Weight Watchers plan and you can register for a free trial at www.weightwatchers.com. Here you can eat just about anything in moderation, but of course, you should keep the high fat foods to a minimum while eating more healthy, low fat foods like fresh vegetables, whole grain cereals, breads, pasta, rice and fresh fruit. Also, drink lots of water and do indeed try to exercise at least four or five times a week for thirty minutes.
