This story happend in Tampa, Florida.
So, if you haven't heard about this story yet, then you need to read about it. It's just awful how this so called law enforcement handled this lady.
Melissa Langston was on her way to the hospital to see her father who just had a heart attack when she was pulled over by Deputy Kevin Stabins right outside the hospital.
I know Melissa Langston was speeding, but she was upset and all she was trying to do was get to the hospital to see her father who just suffered a heart attack.
We all know that heart attacks are serious and what if this was her last time to see her father?
Melissa Langston wasn't out of control, she was crying and asking Deputy Kevin Stabins if this could wait and that she is trying to hurry and get to her father. The Deputy just kept asking for her license and registration and she did give it to him finally, but while the Deputy was back at his police car Melissa Langston drove into the hospital parking lot, or I should say she tried at least. The Deputy just went out of control after this and he yanked her out of the car and really just manhandled her pretty rough.
The whole situation turned wrong and in my eyes Deputy Kevin Stabins was the one that should of handled it a little better.
If you want to read up more about this story to understand it a little more, then please do and then come back and let me know how you feel about the whole situation.
Deputy Stabins, 29, was suspended for five days without pay for using excessive force.

I agree that the officer should have handled the situation better but I also think that the woman should have waited. How was the police officer to know she was telling the truth. These officers put their lives on the line every day when they leave the stations so I think it is understandable when they cross the mark once in a while. I don't believe they should be allowed to cross the line but I can see how it can happen. She was just as wrong as he was. Had she given him her license in the first place instead arguing this would not have happened So I think they both were wrong .

She did give the Deputy her license, but as he was running her license she just drove up a little so she could park by the hospital. So I don't really think she was in the wrong at all. PLus she had a reason to act the way she did. She was upset and scared about her father. The Deputy was in the wrong and that is why he is out of a job/suspended.

I think he acted very badly. I cannot believe he would not try to understand. That was horrible. She was speeding and maybe did deserve the ticket, but it could have waited and he should have been more understanding. We have all been there, and you are not in your right mind and it could have turned out much different with her father. He should have been suspended, if not fired.
