My daughter got her first tooth just after she turned 8 months, it was a bottom one & the got the her 2nd one just a week later - another bottom one, then around 10 months she got her 3rd tooth & a week later her 4th - both of those were her top ones :)
She's 11 months old now so i am expecting another month or so at least before she gets any more but that's just my working out, i figure every couple of months she'll cut a new one, with a following one coming a week or so later. This is just the pattern that has popped up so we'll see if the pattern stays or not.
She looks so cute at the moment though with her 4 front teeth - 2 at the top & 2 at the bottom!

Yes, all babies get their teeth at a different rate. My oldest child started cutting teeth rather early, he had 6 teeth at 6 months old. I have a neice who didn't get any teeth until she was over a year old. And the most recent, I have a neice that had two teeth come through at 4 months old, that really suprised me beacuase i have seen babies who may have teeth come to the serface of the gums that early but have never seen them come through that soon. I have seen them come to the surface and then go back down some. It is strange at how many different ages they can get their teeth. Have a good day/night.
