Does anybody knows of a publishing company which is free? An blogging friend of mine is trying to publish her poetry book and had been rejected more than once. She was asking of any free publishings but I know nothing. Anybody knows where you can publish poetry books for free? I kinda think it is impossible to publish a book for free, a publishing that wont charge you.. Is there any?

I am not sure about a "Free" one. But, I have looked for one myself in the past and found one that a friend that is a professor told me about. She said that she has heard good things about it. Its a company called AuthorHouse. You can probably ask around on here about it. But, I found the website for you if you are interested. Its a self publishing company. www.authorhouse.com Good luck!!

I recommend Publish America. They are the traditional publisher. They do not charge you a cent. They published my poetry book, You'll Learn to love Me, last year. The only thing that you have to pay is $45.00 to the copyright office. I strongly recommend Publish America. Check it out at www.publishamerica.com They are for the unknown and even the known people. If you have any more questions, please send me a message.

Someone already mentioned lulu.com, and I'd second the recommendation. Getting accepted by a publisher, especially for something like poetry. Print-on-demand allows anyone to publish without a financial investment. Lulu is very reliable, and if you're willing to do your own publicity, it can be very worthwhile. I've heard that you can also publish books and other material with Cafe Press.

A good self-publishing company is lulu.com. They have everything you need to make a word processor document into an ebook, or even a print book. They charge a small percentage of commission from each sale to cover the publishing and printing charges. You can even set your own price for the book. It is not actually free, but there is no upfront cost.
