I looked up what viand means. Viand is a noun. Definition 1] provisions: a store or collection of food, especially the food that makes up a meal or a feast. 2] Item of food.

For breakfast my family have porrige, bread and a dish. For lunch my wife or I cook either noodles, fried noodles , rice or dumplings for my family. We usually have steamed bread or baked bread with one dish or for a change my wife can also bake vegetable-stuffed cakes.

we also just have atleast 2 viands per meal. just like today, we had eggs and sausage for breakfast. and for lunch, we just had one viand which is barbecued fish. and for dinner, might also just have one.
we also do reheat food for the next meal if there was something left before. we hate seeing food go to waste. and reheating is one good way of consuming everything.

We have atleast a couple of different viands for each meal. Normally there isn't an viands left from lunch to use for dinner. Depending on what we are having for lunch or dinner we may not serve any viands at all.

my family has a canteen so since i was a kid, i can choose from many viands. i became choosy with my meals because of that. now that im living alone, i prefer only one or if im dining with friends, we could have extra viands like 2-3 and desserts too.

I had to look up the work viand I did not know what it meant. If if means dishes or course then we have two or three. I my house hold we ususally have three a meat, veggie and a starch. But sometimes we only have a meat and a veggie.
If you viand means left overs than we eat left overs from dinner for dinner the next night. My husband works during the day and takes a lunch with him. I am home alone so I eat what ever. For dinner I will come something and if we have enough leftovers then I will reheat it for the next night.

We prepare 2-3 viands a meal. We try to have meat and vegetables every time. Vegetables is must especially for my mom, she always makes us eat veggies. Plus soup also, my dad loves soup so we always have soup, veggies and meat or fish with our rice.

I generally eat one portion starch (like rice, cereal, or potatoes), two portions fruits or veggies, and one portion protein. For lunch, I do the opposite of you! I usually have dinner leftovers for lunch, but you have lunch leftovers for dinner. How funny! I do that because the BF doesn't really eat leftovers, and he's never around for lunch.

same here..we usually prepare 2 viand every meal..but if we have left viands for lunch, we prepare 1 viand for dinner and heat the left over food from lunch. my dad needs to have 2 viand and there are even times that he makes 3 viands in one meal.

So do we. My mum prepare 2 viand every meal. Maybe more for dinner. But generally speaking 2 is enough. If we have some left, my father will have it 2 hours later, he feel hungry 2 hours after meal.
