Hi fellow Filipinos. Will you leave the Philippines and live to another country? Why or why not? My answer: I think I am not leaving the Philippines because the country helped me a lot. It supported my education and some of my sidetrips so I think I must return what the country has given me. Ifever I'm leaving the country, it would be a seminar, tour or other fun sidetrip.

I definitely agree with you. I'll never leave my country in exchange for some juicy life elsewhere. I am a Filipino, and I will retire and die here. I love the people, the place, even the culture. . Just like you, if ever I do leave, I do it as tourist, or to attend seminars, but not to migrate and leave the land of my birth. There was somebody who asked me this question, and I have been consistent with my answer, that I will stay, no matter what happens.

I won't leave the Philippines even though its corrupted and in its hard times. Philippines gives us shelter, without it where would we live? We should pay it back with our support. Here in the Philippines only you can the best of friends. In the other countries everyone is so busy and serious and friends for them are like a neighbor. Here friends are like a family member. That's why even it is in its downfall Philippines is still my home.

I don't think I could ever leave the Philippines and migrate to another country. I don't know. It's just that my whole family is here, my friends...my LIFE. I don't think I could ever leave just to go to greener pastures. I've always believed that if I work hard, I'd be able to reach my ambitions without ever leaving my homeland. But I do like to travel to some other country for a vacation.

i probably not leave the country..most certainly i would not risk a good life that i have here and exchange it with an unfamiliar and homesickening moments at abroad..i just love my life here..i don't want to leave my family and friends..i just don't want to leave my "comfort zone"..but if i would leave for abroad,it would probably just for a vacation and fun!!just like you...

I already did because there are more opportunities abroad than in the Philippines. No matter how hard you work in the Philippines nothing will happen to you and to your future family because of the rampant corruptions.

I know I'll be leaving our dear country someday but that doesn't mean I love her less. I'm leaving but of course I'll be back here often and spend retirement age here if God's willing. We're missionaries and I know someday God will bring us to where He wants us to be to share HIS love to His people..

Realistically speaking, with the poverty covering the Philippines now, it is now a must to leave it and work outside. I would choose to work outside the Philippines if given the chance but once i earned enough, i would come back here in the Philippines because this is my land.

to travel abroad, definitely i would. to work abroad, yes i would. to live abroad for some time, yes i would. but i will always go back to the philippines coz this is my home. in regards to loving my own country and countrymen and returning back what has been given to me... for several years now that i have been working with NGOs, i think in my own little way, i have tried to give back a part of me by serving the poor communities all over the philippines. in my line of work, i was given an opportunity to help in improving lives of thousands of filipino families. i believe that i can do much more if i can earn much more. one of the reasons why i want to work abroad is to realize a long time plan of my sister and i to establish a foundation to help poor families send their kid/s to school. the scholarsips to poor but desrving students can help them create a better future for them and their respective families. :)

It depends kasi. I am still young but if given an opportunity, I would go to another country in order to improve my skills then I will surely go back in order to help improve the status of the Philippines. I am not just saying this, I would definitely do this. ;)

To be honest, I always thought that other countries are the "greener pastures". And I still think that they really are. But leaving the country is very far from my plans. I am not patriotic. I just cant leave my family behind. I still believe that living a luxurious life is nothing compared to the happiness and peace of mind you have when you are with your loved ones.

I'd like to live in another country - Germany perhaps. But in as much as possible I don't want to live this place. If jobs could be found that could give me a lucrative living, i would be very happy to stay. I'll go to another country to work, maybe find a wife, and return here. i want my kids to grow here. after all, even if i change my citizenship, i'll always be a full-blooded Filipino and will always be compelled to return to my mother country.
