Your favoruite holiday experience

So why not share with everyone your most memorable and favourite holiday experience?
For me it has to be spending 2 weeks with the hill tribes of Northern Thailand, not only was I given the chance to be immersed in a new culture, I was also given the opportunity to help the village by assisting in building a water pump system they badly needed.

I agree that being with a communtity and helping them must be a very special holiday experience. I also like seeing different cultures.
I prefer to visit a number of different places when I am travelling not just stay in one place. Kenya is one holiday that I think was very exciting. I had a five day safari that first visited the Maasai Mara. It was fascinating to meet the local people there wearing their red robes and colourful jewellery. Seeing wild aniamls like giraffes, Zebras, hippos, rhinos and lions was amazing. We drove up to a tree and we could a leopard asleep in the branches. Shopping at Nairobi market was very exciting. I also spent time relaxing on the beautiful palm fringed coastline. Many people in Africa need help and I hope to go back there one day to help some of them.
