when taking a bus,do you offer your seat to others who maybe some old people or pregnant women or some little kids?I ususlly do this.or else I will feel upset.I can not just keep sitting in my seat when some people such as what I have said above stand beside me.but I read a piece of news in newspaper some days ago that when a girl offered her seat to an old lady, the lady fight beat her on her face for the girl treating her as an old lady.so strange? and what about you, when you take a bus,do you offer your seat to others?

yes i just do the same thing as you, and in our country(China) there would never happen that thing which you described . It's a tradition to respect the old in our country , maybe in some western country people always have selfrespect , it'll indicate one thing they are old if they accept others offerings. So just as it said do as the rhoms do, when we in one country we'd know what can be done and what can not, how do you think about it!

Usually i communicate through bus daily, for going to college... And the buses here in hyderabad are full wid crowd..And in the morning time it is rare tat we get a seat.. And some times when i find any senior citizens boarding the bus, i respect there age factor and also understand their physical ability..And offer them my seat.. And wen i myself is standing, and i come across and elderly person, a pregent lady i ask my fellow communicators to share there seat with them.. Some of them feel tat i am rite and offer them their seat, and few who are snobs, i know how to deal wid them to get reqiuerd ppl there seat and some times i love the company of small childern in the bus, so i quickly nab them and offer a seat beside me so that i can have a lovely chat wid them

I do too. It's very hard to feel comfortable while sitting when there is somebody who obviously needs the seat more than you do. I also offer my seat to pregnant women, moms carrying babies and especially old people.
