A Rich Girl At A Department Store On A Shopping Spree.

The other day I visited a local super market here. While I put a strict check on spending on things on unnecessary things, I would at times be tempted to buy out a few other items that interests me at the outset. Mostly, I am unmindful of fellow shoppers' buying habits.. However, the day in question , I was rather wonderstruck at a 'looking to-be a teenager' buying up scores of articles. In the counter, she paid the exorbitant bill without batting an eyelid. I gaped in awe ! Maybe she is phenomenally rich. Though it was none of my concern, I felt how extravagant people can be !

There are people who are extravagant or just impulse buyers. One who does pay for extra ordinary bills for things does not mean she is rich. But maybe if she is,I just hope she will realize the value to buy that is worth buying, for there are many people who cannot even afford to buy food to eat.

Or she has her parents credit cards and is spending foolishly and will get in trouble when the parents see the bill come in. Teenagers do crazy things like that all the time.

I always have to budget for my shopping. And I usually don't pay attention to other shoppers myself. But I have seen people like the girl you saw, and it just amazes me sometimes. There are so many people in this world that have to do without, and yet there are people so well off as to be wasteful of their money.

These rich people are not even aware that they are being too lavish on spending unnecessary things because they have more than enough money in their savings.. Which is envious most of the times wherin you wish that you could do the same thing also.. :)

hi sukumar.. yes.. maybe this if the first time you see someone paying such an exorbitant bill and yet didn't batting an eyelid.. i think it's quite normal for the rich people to do such thing.. it's really a dream for most people to do the same.. but.. it is a waste? sometimes.. if you're too rich.. you just don't know how to spend your money.. thus.. you just simply buy whatever you want.. even if it's unnecessary.. is it? .. i think they should use the money to help others.. some people don't even have the chance to go shopping.. i always dream to be one of the richest person so i can help others =)

Blimme you didn't bump into my daughter did you? She spends money like it's going out fashion too. I can be quite extravagant I'm afraid, and will buy tonnes of stuff if I'm out on one of my sprees although I'm not a teenager anymore sadly lol

A lot of the people around that age are not THAT rich. They just have no expenses, and when they have money, they can't save it, it burns a hole in their pocket, and they HAVE to spend it because they have it. The truth is, even the average $700 a week or whatever average is, is a LOT of money. Just doesn't seem like enough when you have a mortgage and 2 kids.

I think for a young person to have that kind of money to spend is not healthy, no matter how much money she or her family may have. Of course, that might be envy speaking! lol

Maybe she's foreign. I buy a lot of stuff at one go because those items are cheaper there than in my country. I bought around 6 pants costing almost 100 malaysian dollars each. I remember the sales lady asking me if I really wanted them all. I bet she is a bit skeptical that I would buy them all. You can also wonder if her home was burnt down. In that case she is need of clothes so that's why she's buying them all.

I agree that People are interesting to watch at. I have never had a shopping spree experience, but i think i don't need so, I am glad that i am living a comfortable life, able to spend on what i am earning, and also able to spend on what my parents want.

As the saying goes, "easy come, easy goes". It is so easy to spend money, especially these days when prices of goods are just soaring. But if it wasn't easy to make the money, then you would think twice about your purchases. You probably wouldn't buy things that are not really necessary. For a small portion of the population, i.e. the rich, money comes naturally that they wouldn't care how much they spend.

That is one rich girl! Maybe she really need those articles or maybe she was the one assigned to buy all those magazines. If not, and it is just a splurge, it is not practical because these times, life is somewhat hard and you should anticipate any financial difficulties that might come along the way.
