I would want to go to Canada. It's a beauiful place and it provides lots of opportunities. I work as a customer service representative in a call center here in the Philippines and I heard that Canada is looking for agents to work there. I have submitted my resume to one agency there and I'm still waiting for a response. The would be place is Nanaimo City which when I searched in the internet is a very beautiful place to stay. It's like paradise on earth and the more I become eager to work in Canada. Check this out: http://www.nanaimo.ca
In case, this one didn't work out with the agency as expected, is there anyone out there among myLotters who could help me make my dream come true? What are the things I need to go to Canada? Do you have some pointers on how I could go about it? Have you been to Canada or have lived there? What do you think of the place? Thank you and all your feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I would imagine you need to start checking out working Visas now, in case the process turns out to be quite drawn out. I don't know how long a visa would allow you to visit for, it may only be a few months or it may be up to two years, so you need to know before you apply to prospective employers in case that affects the contract you negotiate. Also, some visas require you to have accomodation lined up, so you could start looking at options in that city that would allow you to find your feet. Maybe a youth hostel or something would be cheap whilst you settle in?

Thanks for the feedback. I'm thinking of atleast a two year working visa and then I'm going to apply for residency after one year. I would want to bring my family there with me and start afresh! For lodging, I think I'll try to find a room for rent and maybe share it to minimize the expense. Again, thanks!
