Will you be watching the Eurovision Song Contest this year?

Yes, well all know the music is dreadful, the presenters are dreadful, the costume are dreadful, the whole thing is totally based on politics etc, but it's still a laugh and taky as it is it's fun to hear some of the songs (not all are quite that dreadful) and giggle over the daft costumes. Plus, in the UK at elast, Terry Wogans voice over is enough to make you want to watch alone! So will you be watching it?

I love our (British) entry. It is back to the tradition of Eurovision. Nothing to do with a 'pop' song but great to join in with. It is very catchy. It should do well but I think people will not vote for it any more just because it is our entry. Perhaps we will get enough 5 or 7 points to climb up the table. Fingers crossed. 'We're flying the flag .....'

Hehehehe it's tradition isn't it .. I hate Tery Wogan but like him doing the Eurovision .. he has just the right level os scorn and ridicule for the whole event .. Do you watch with the subtitles .. (page 888) .. it gives you the words of the songs so you can singalong with them .. it's like really bad karaoke hahahahahahahah !!! I reckon the UK song is just absurd enough to actually get somewhere this year .. that's if the other countries don't vote politically again .. ever since we were railroaded into going to war in Iraq we've been given the nil points ...

I will only watch it for the commentary of Terry Wogan, that mans a legend. The entry the UK is entering is so bad, so very very bad.

I know my mom will be watching it and I'm likely to glance once or twice to see what's going on. Usually I have a few favorites, but this year I have no idea what's going on. We'll see.

Watched the semi finals Thursday night -- it actually isn't that bad this year. Sad that Iceland's rock song didn't make it though! And the only one in French, I think it was from Cyprus. Will be watching again Saturday. I heard some of Finland's song and it sounds really great. But will it sound great live? It's too bad that the UK couldn't take it more seriously and enter with a song that actually has a chance to be in the top 20.
