It seems like so long ago that I was in school but I still remember it all quite clearly . There is definitely not much I miss about those days as I really didn't enjoy school at all . It was nice to get with friends everyday but on the most part there is not much more then that , that I can say I miss . I found school very hard and thought about dropping out so often in my last year . I ended up staying and finishing out the year and don't regret my decision but found every bit of it hard and a huge struggle . I no longer have anything to do with those I went to school with as we have all moved on and would not even be interested in a reunion should that ever come up as days from school were so not important to me and I would rather have them put out of my mind . But it is nice to hear when somene has good memories to share and enjoyed their time in school as school is such an important part of our lives :)

I go way back in my school memories. I went to quite a few as we moved three times. I even attended one of those two room school houses that are now history. I attended the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade all in one year. However, my mother refused to let me jump grades. That school was an experience I shall never forget....I even remember the name of the teacher...Mrs. Galvin. I had happy school years was involved in just about every extra curricular activity they had. Music was my favorite as we got to go to other cities and towns for concerns and competitions. Basketball was another passion of mine....I was the only female member of the class of 1954 who earned her school letter all four years....and my first boyfriend in high school was the only male....but he earned letters both in baseball and basketball. The class of 54 started out with 54 classmates but after four years it dwindled down to 31...pregnacies and dropouts causing the decline. I can definitely say I enjoyed every moment of school....I even hated vacations. Wanted to attend my 50th Class Reunion but was unable to because the plane fare from Portugal to Maine was just a little bit too much for my pocketbook. It would have been nice because I am the "matriarch"...I was the oldest graduate by a few months. Thanks for the memories douhave. +
