My daughter is 4 and she had her first ballet recital tonight. They did a dance to johnny so long at the fair. My daughter's partner had a major case of stage fright she came on stage and just stood there. My daughter as a trooper though she tried really hard to get the other girl dancing but she just would not budge so Emma did both of there parts lol. She even tried to lift the little girl when she was supposed to jump when that didn't happen she just danced anyway lol. When they started to circle Emma just grabbed the other girl by the elbow and drug her around lol. She said later that she didn't want the other girl to feel bad for not dancing. 1 more performance tomorrow afternoon, I hope the other little girl gets over her stage fright and enjoys herself they have worked to whole year on this. I am one proud mum tonight.

Yes I did video tape it and again on the Sunday when the other little girl danced. I also found out that the school will give us a DVD of the performance so i will get a professional one as well as my own shaky one lol.

We are getting ready now for this afternoons recital and she is just as excited for today. I was surprised by her i really thought she would freeze but nope she loves being the center of attention. I am sure your little one will be great. They are just cute getting in costume they don't even have to do anything and they are great.

This reminds me of a scene from the TV series "Different Strokes". In that Gary Coleman and a girl were doing a drama on Romeo and Juliet. When Gary climed to the balcony the girl could not talk. Then gary told the audience "I think she wans to say 'O Romeo! O Romeo! Wherefore art thou Romeo!", and it went on with Gary doing all the talking.

It was so funny cute all in one. I thought it would be her that froze and she would go running from the stage screaming lol.

Sounds so cute. I bet it was one of those moments that you just loved watching. My daughter is going to have her recital next month. I hope that she doesn't freeze and freak out and try yelling for me to find me and she does her dances. I have been trying to hype her up for it but we will see how it goes. I'm glad your daughter tried getting the other little girl involved. Hopefully the other little girl enjoyed herself the second night.
