Chain Letters: Do you believe on them? Or are they all SPAM?

I recently received a lot of Chain letters, mostly about a good story about a heroic person, child, elder or historical events of charity; at the end of the story there would be a note telling me to make a wish then forward the story to a certain number of people, after a week i would get my wish. And if i dont do it then there will be some bad luck (though there are some letters that doesnt contain this negative idea) When i was a kid i used to believe this one and i was very diligent in forwarding those notes. But when i grew up it seems to be just a game. However there was 1 time that i did follow just for FUN. And after 5 days my wish did came true those not 100% accurate. I believe it was just coincidence. Because when i did it again... and i waited nothing happened. How about you? Have you ever recieve this kind of letters/stories? Do you believe in them? Have you tried doing it? What happen if you did follow the instructions?

spam letters are baseless.i never forward them, especially the ones about family etc,and i dont think its ever going to be fruitful.these are things to be avoided. because they unnecessarily disturb us.

I think its a simple way of spamming mailboxes by stirring the emotional content of a normal human being.I never forward them nor do i reply to them.

Up until 2000 I used to forward all emails like this. Then for a school paper we had to research and we did it on hoaxes and well I found out that lots if not all I'd done were fake. So I passed the info on. Few people do forwards but those that do even now a days I pass along my favorite link. I love about.com well there is one for urbanlegends. Check the link below. Type in the thing you are looking for or view the site. You can almost always find the ones you thought were real are fake and straight on that site! http://urbanlegends.about.com/

All chain letters are SPAM! Don't believe them. You won't get teh one you want just because you sent out the letter to 15 people in 10 minutes. You also won't lose your love if you don't do it. It's all a scam. Don't believe them.

No I do not believe on them. I think they are all spam. I get many of them, and always delete them from my mailbox. I think people who send them and spend time over them are wasting their time.

They are all spam. When such mails talk about bringing luck or money etc etc , I just delete them . But sometimes it is about some sick person who has cancer , or some other emotional topic, then I just forward it to some of my friends, as it hurts me to read all this and I only hope God will help them.

I have loads of chain letters in my email and sometimes I just ignore them and not open them at all. When I was younger, I would get them through snail mail when email was not that popular Although some have nice messages in them, I just hate it when it says at the bottom of the letter that if you do not forward them, something bad will happen to you. I have read one about a cursed person and that it says at exactly 10 pm that day, if I don’t forward the letter, the ghost will appear in my bedroom, or something to that effect. I did not forward it, and didn’t believe it. But at the back of my mind I was having weird thoughts that night that the ghost might actually appear. From then on, I stopped opening emails that I think are chain letters. They are all man made fiction that should not be patronized.

I consider Chain letter nothing more then junk or spam mail. When i receive them in the mail. I automatically just throw them in the trash. When someone emails me one of those stupid email chain letters i dont even bother to forward or reply it automatically either goes into my spam folder or goes in the trash. I hate them they are very annoying.

I don't forward them at all and when i get them i go to sites like www.snopes.com search for whatever the chain letter is about, (unless it's one of those friendship things i just delete those) and if they have info on it i send the link to the person who sent me the email so they can see it.

Spam. An email gets deleted. I am generally annoyed with the person who sent it to me. Those suggesting something bad could happen an be considered threats.

chain letters are spam and a waste of time. just deleting them after sorting them out is a total waste of precious time.

i use to get so many chain letters many years ago, but i dont believe in them now, i use to and i use to participate in the and well being so young i use to have hope so high that my luck would change or that i would end up winning something, but then i have learnt its all a load of junk none of it happens so dont worry about then, ignore them and chuck them in the bin.

I personally don't believe in them. If and when I do recieve one, I keep the chain going. Not because I believe in it, but because the person that has sent it to me does, I guess I continue the chain out of courtesy to my friends.
