The best Mothers Day Present

I asked my 4 year old son the other day what he was going to get me for Mothers Day (I was actually wondering if my hubby had said anything to him! ) Anyway he thought for a moment and looked at me and said " a piece of love " I just melted. I said that is exactly what I wanted and that would be the best present ever. I gave him a big hug and he was so happy with himself. Don't you love when just out of the blue your kids can just make all the worries and stresses of life just dissapear with a few words or even just a look. He made my day. That really is a great present I think, and it isn't even Mothers Day yet.

Aw, that is so sweet! I think one of the best things I got mom was a crystal dragon as mom loves mystical animals, but I always call her up and tell her I love her so much...which I do every day.

Well, I know that mom knows I love her very very much (she is my confidant, my best friend and so much more) but I think that it doesn't hurt in any way to call up and let her know how much she means to me.

Thanks Dumpertaker I thought so too. I hope when my son is older he still rings me up and lets me know how much he loves me.

It sounds like your mum is lucky to have you as a son. I am happy for you that you have such a loving and caring relationship with your mum.

Yes! I love when they say stuff like that. At dinner I was feeling a little down and my 5 year old could tell, and he said well I think you need a hug, and I said ok i'd love one, but don't worry about it now, we can hug as soon as we are done eating, and he said no now, because i am your little ethan boy. AWW! I was like ok now! LOL! Kids can be so sweet. He made my day too, and it got alot better after that point.

That is a lovely story 4cuteboys, it is wonderful how kids can say or do stuff that just makes everything seem better. It sounds like your ethan boy is a very caring little man. Happy Mothers Day for Sunday.

That is definitely the best Mother's Day present ever. I would have started crying, I know I would have. Sometimes they just make our hearts melt into a gooey puddle!

Thank you andak2007. I too think it is great to hug our kids as I agree they are the best gifts we could ever imagine. I remember when my son was first saying mum and remember the same feelings you describe, the feelings do not change as they grow, they get even stronger I think. I wish you a Happy Mothers Day with your kids.

That is lovely. I love the way kids can think up the simpliest of things. What better presant can a mother ask for from her children?
