What do i need for a faster compuetr for gaming?

anybody knows good gadgets? it would be nice to hear from you fellow my lotters could you recommend any good specs? i plan to go for core 2 duo on the preprocessor after that i don't know what to egt for the motherboard . . keyboards everything . . i am planning to buy everything piece by piece so i could pimp my own computer and even have a nice work with it :) the monitor should be lcd also :) i don't know what do you think is Lcd better??

if you really plan to have a speed performance, after you got the processor you like and the Mobo that supports it! video card about 512MB/128bit is very good! getting a two 1 Gig DDR2 Ram will give you a lot of speed and good performance too!

thanks all of you . . ill see what i could find but i think its better if i check with my preprocessor for the motherboard

I recommend you to get a good video card. The quality of the video card is what you need to play games. The speed of the CPU plays an insignificant role in games. Get a good NVidia or ATI card; to do that you must be willing to pay 150-200$ for the card.

LCD is way way better and if you can afford it, go ahead and buy one. If you're planning to upgrade to core 2 duo, then you'll be getting a fast if not the fastest available processor to date, making your computer gaming experience really perfect. To be sure which motherboards and memory cards to buy consult your processor information. Cheers! Happy Gaming :)
