Is ceasarian really a choice or medical reason?

In the early days, ceasarian is only perform when it is absolutely necessary or when both mother and baby life are in danger. Natural birth is the only choice for healthy and fit mothers to bring their baby into the world. But nowadays, we often hear mothers giving birth by ceasarian. Is that a choice or for medical reason? Why do more and more mothers opt for ceasarian and not natural birth? Are modern mothers afraid of the labour pain? I myself have experience ceasarian and I can tell you it is not a recommended choice. I suffered pain in the incision area and I had to hold my stomach just to be able to walk. It took me almost 10 days to be able to walk straight and for the incision to heal. On top of that I was not able to carry my baby without feeling the pain. Ceasarian is a major surgery and it is expensive. So, why are mothers opt to have ceasarian instead of natural birth?

In the doctor's point of view, a ceasarian is the best option for mothers who cannot deliver normally due to complications. On the other hand new mothers will opt for ceasarian section to avoid the intense labour pain. If I have the choice I will go for normal birth. Whether its normal birth or by ceasarion, the pain is still there. Pain is the sign of motherhood and this cannot be avoided.

You are right. Whatever option mothers choose to deliver their babies, the pain will always be there. The difference is normal delivery will endure hard labour pain which varies from person to person. It can be an hour pain or 24 hours pain. Whereas, C-section which is more costly, mothers have the option to choose the date of birth, time and the pain is only after the operation. So, I think most mothers will opt for C-section if they have the budget.

Based on my opinion, preferably both has it's own stand. Citing what had happened to my younger sister due that her pincer is very small, the baby won't let out. So we decided to do ceasarian. Other's might prefer CS an option if they have enough budget to support. But if it intent to be normal, why not? wisely save money than CS.

What your younger experienced was that she has to undergo emergency C section. It is for medical reason.

In America, the doctors like to induce labor which often leads to cesareans because the body is meant to go into labor on it's own. Some doctors let the mother decide if she wants to have a cesrean, regardless if it's a medical need or not. I would prefer to have a regular delivery, the baby needs to go through the birth canal to squeeze liquid out of it's lungs to breathe properly. There was a study done that showed that cesarean babies are twice as likely to die after birth because they didn't get all of the fluids out of their lungs.
