I just heard something very interesting on MSNBC about how to save money on our gasoline. Did you know that when we go to a drive thru at a fast food restaurant and sit and wait, we use up the same amount of gas in idle that we use driving 10-15 miles? Isn't that something? So, why not take a few extra steps and get out the car and go in. Plus, take it from someone who has worked in the fast food industry, it's BEST to go in, that way you can see them prepare your food and you'll have a less likely chance of your order being messed up.

Isn't that the truth?? It's amazing to think just how much time and how many resources we use up just sitting and WAITING to do something! Thanks for the post. It's good to think about!

Your welcome. Yes, it's crazy all right. So, this week I'm going to test it out. Not that I don't believe it, but because I have an Explorer and need to save anyway I can on gas.

This is a great tip for saving gas though we never use the drive through. I really don't like eating in the car. Another way to save gas is to go to work or school early enough to miss the heavy traffic and have to set while the lights change two or three time before you get to the intersection.

Oh yes, definitely avoid the rush hour traffic.
