Not easy being a teacher but it is rewarding

I have been working as a teacher for about 10 years. It is definitely getting tough with all the admin work that I have to handle. My own son has just entered primary school this year too. Lots of stress actually. I must say that the most rewarding part in teaching is the process where we see our pupils growing and learning. When they finally sit for their end of the year exam and they have shown great improvement, I feel great. All the lack of sleep is worth it but how long can I last, is a question mark.

I taught for about ten years in a Primary school before I resigned to take care of my daughter who is eight this year. It has always been alot of admin work and I think it was more ten years ago as compared to now. It is definitely not easy being a teacher and I agree with you that it is rewarding when you see your pupils showing improvement as time goes by. However, I do not regret leaving the teaching service so that I can devote more time to the bringing up of my own children.

You definitely have a very important job that is being a mother. You have a greater career now than a teacher. It is definitely important to nurture your children to their potential. You have chosen the right path. My wife gave up her job too for my older son then. It is not easy being a homemaker. Remember whatever it is, God has a purpose for everyone. God has not finished with our children yet. Whatever challenges that we faced with them, we need to encourage ourselves that God has not finished with them yet. God bless your holy job as a mother.

I welcomes you sir, I was a teacher for Secondary School Students to till Post Graduation Students. I know the risk and advantages of the job. In teaching, i am happy with the output from the students but never with the amounts i receive. One live example in my life, One of my friend has done Doctor course after 10+2 but due to financial aspects i done Bachelor Degree of Education and i started teaching immediately, One fine day the doctor came to my house we just started our discussions and chatting then we are walking on the road, he started to say the proud of Doctor he said he can save lives and people will respected and etc., for that he has chosen this profession and he can reach the target in few years. Suddenly on the way some of my students are going they saw me and started wishing me and they introduced their parents and their parents are so happy with my caring towards the children and they praised me they said If I change the life of their children automatically the fore generations will be developed. Then My friend realized that Doctor and Teacher are needed for the society one save live and other makes comfort life A mistake of a doctor loses a life But a mistake of a teacher loses generation life's. So be proud as teacher, Reward will be heartful But i need financial support so i shifted to a Aviation Company there i am working as Asst.Manager

congratulations. I admire teachers as I came from a family of teachers. I might actually do that too in the near future. I know that it's not rewarding financially compared to other professions and considering the amount of sacrifice and service expected of teachers. But the reward of being a teacher comes from knowing that you have made a difference in your students' lives. You should be proud of yourself and I hope that you may be rewarded with more blessings. You deserve that for loving what you do.

Thanks for the encouragement but it is really tough nowadays. I roughly sleep about 5 hours daily and everyday is a mad rush to teach, mark books and do all the admin stuffs. Thank carefully if you are interested as you need to have a strong determination.
