I loved Minnie Pearl. She was one of the best older comedienes out there. Her real name was Sarah Ophelia Colley Cannon. The hat she wore always showed a price tag of $1.98. She was also a regular on the television show "Hee Haw" from 1969 to 1991. She passed way in 1996. I remember watching her on Hee Haw on TV, and yes, she always had the wide brimmed hat with the price tag. I was VERY very young... so I don't remember much. But that show was pretty corny and I doubt I would like it now. I do remember the cartoon donkey that always said HEE HAW when the show came on...

I remember her. She was really funny and I like the way she says Howdy her name was Sarah Cannon I think she had cancer and has a hospital named after her here in Nashville and I live close to grand ole opry.
