what is the difference between the neutral and earth wires in power circuits?the has a connection to the earth to drain all the power to soil, the phase is connected to the generator, where does the neutral come from or goto?

electric shock..... - person getting an electric shock.....
neutral and live are basically the two ends of the coil wire from the generator, the live is always at higher potential than the neutral...when both are connected the circuit is closed and your appliances work...... earth is basically the wire that goes deep in the soil.....this is a protective mechanism in which if there is leakage of electricity from live then it flows to soil via the earthing wire......since theoritically the earth is at lowest potential, zero potential or negative potential, we are saved from electric shock.....

The neutral comes from the live and basically just brings the electricity back. Earth is also only needed if anything would go wrong basically, it's a safety measure. In example when a piece of equipment has metal on the outside it could take on the current and kill on touch, you wouldn't want that so therefore it is good to earth the current. But in example a light bulb has no metal on the outside so it won't go carrying any current, there is no need for it to be earthed and the electricity can all just go back with the neutral.
