Do you still talk to your childhood friends?

I wish I did. But I've lived in 3 different states... and lost touch with basically everyone. Have contacted a few through classmates.com ... but they usually disappear after awhile. I meet people sometimes who've had the same group of friends since childhood... and others who've moved around & lost contact with old pals. And lots of people somewhere in between. Which are you? Please share!

My childhood friend was abuse by her father and since that happened she kind of pushed me away. Every now and again we leave each other comments on myspace, but it has been years since I have seen her. My other best friend we saty in touch when we can. We are both moms and wives so it gets hard, but I know she is always there for me.

I don't. Sometimes I wish I did, but the things that I did with my life seperated me from them and I never went back. Things broke off bad and all contact was lots. Sometimes people from high school will try to contact me, but I usually ignore it as it is usually a ploy to somehow get dirt on me or stalk me or something equally as immature. I wish I had long time friends though. I think the longest friendship I currently have is about 6 years.

I had kept in touch with my best friend from elementary school - but she got married and I lost her address in a move - and have no idea how to contact her now. I don't remember her married name... I also had kept touch with my best friend from Middle school up until I was about 21... but we lost touch as well...

hey i am really lucky to have contact with my childhood friends.Unfortunately not with all of them as we i left school earlier and then we all scatterd .But i am proud to retain one friend of mine with me.She was my closest friend in my childhood and still after some 12 years, we are in conatct and we share each others life in same way.Though we cant manage to meet each other frequently and our meetings take place in years...but telephone and internet chattings do help us to share and express ourselves.

I do still keep in touch with some of my childhood friends. The ones that aren't 'lost' somewhere.. But I do have to say that we weren't as close as we used to be. Most of them are already married with kids, so naturally their busy with their own family. We do try to get together once in a while, but somehow it just doesn't seem to happen.. Pretty sad though once I think about it. It's kinda hard to remain really close. The ones that do, are really special friends.. =)

I've moved over 30 times and I haven't kept in contact with the people I went to school with. I sometimes envy people who have childhood friends. My husband grew up in one house and had friends who he knew all thru school, but hasn't kept in touch with them.

Most of the time, no. People change and lose their appeal, and we just can't connect anymore or make the effort to contact one another. The childhood friends that I do still talk to are all also family friends, meaning our parents are friends so they visit for the holidays. That's the only maintenance of contact between us :\
