Do you have trees in your garden

Sitting in my conservatory drinking my cup of coffee this morning I was watching the trees and in a gentle wind on a overcast day I was thinking that they were waving to each other. !! Morning Beech said Oak "How are you today"? "Not bad really", said Beech "But it looks like Willow could do with a bit of rain". "Wish I could wave to you a little more often Beech, we get on so well not like that Maple standing there looking so majestic". Can you imagine the trees talking to each other too?

Frodo - Frodo scaring the talking trees!
Awww - what a lovely concept! And yes we do have trees in our garden - quite a lot of them actually. I'm not sure I really want to know what they're saying to each other though - because it's ptobably something like "that bl**dy cat is going to climb up me again!", as my Frodo scales to the top of all our trees, and then swings from one to the other, like some strange jungle animal. I'm sure he was a monkey in a previous life, and not a cat!! I do love trees though - I love to hear the breeze "whispering" through them!

Yes I love to hear the trees whisper too. But those in our garden are probably saying...."Theres that bl***y dog again I hope he's not going to pee up my trunk".....!! By the way Rosie, how did you put that small picture of your cat on?

Yes we do have trees in the backyard, short and tall, old and newly planted. My neighbor has a willow and it's so beautiful I don't know what it's called until yesterday. It would be fun if they really talked. I could join the conversation and bring my cat with me :)

Wow....you must have a big 'back yard' to have trees growing in it! But then I suppose a Canadian back yard is like a field compared to our English ones. Go up to the midlands of England where the real old houses are the 'back yard' is about 20 foot by 6 foot...!!

my neighbors have bigger land than ours. ours is only 20 by 20 then the front 20 by 10. it's a lot of work in fall so maybe we should cut down the little trees

"Oy! Willow, leave that tree alone, she's my Beech!" he he he he he "Ok, Oaky no need for violence, leaf it out mate!" "Your barking up the wrong tree" "No, I'm just branching out" "Err, has he trunk to much" "I think you've twigged it" "He looks a bit ashen." "Yer, he won't get much elder at that rate" "He's bumped his conker" "Fir crying out loud, keep the noise down, I'm pining for my girl here" "Well, don't lumber me with your problems, I'm so bored" "Shut up you stupid plank" "I'll have yew pall" all the best urban

Haha, that's interesting, man! I can't see trees talking, nor pretend it. It's strange... Trees are just trees! Although they are alive, they don't speak. They don't communicate. That's my opinion, and that's what I think.

Oh, it must be a good mind exercise to imagine what are trees talking about. It's always good to have some contact with the Nature, don't you think?

Yes I can imagine the trees talkig to each other! Last winter my neighbors trimmed their Mulberry tree down so close I worried that it would not grow back, she is an Awesome Mulberry tree and has birthed many baby birds..It really upset me to see her so naked this fall without her limbs but she looks super now and there are many birds right now in the new leaves that she has grown..I just know all the other trees are so happy for her she is the mother tree that takes care of all the birds.. And even though humans cut her body away she grows new stronger ones to protect the baby birds...

We have a pyrocantha growing over our garage and it has bore the presence of four sets of blackbirds this year and does so each year and that is a shrub. I often wonder what there is in our trees from the bird world.

Yeah it would be so fun.May be they still does talk to each other but we cannot hear them. After all they are living things too.Wow it would b so fun if even we could communicate with them,I wish it can happen some day.I am fond of gardening and spend most of my day in my garden i have actually a big back yard where i have grown so many plants and vegetables.I try my best to give most of my spare time to them so they can grow big and nice.

Well I don't really think the day will come when we can hear what they say but it is good to fantasize about it. Specially if you could talk to some of these very old trees like 150 years old. Just think what they have seen. It has been said that if one talks to ones plants they grow better but I wonder really.
