A busy day and its hot, you grab a cold soda, paid for its and then you open and drink it straight from the can. Careful my friends, a lot of these can sodas are kept in big warehouses which accumulates cockroaches, lizzards and rats. They ran around over everything and even the soda cans. When delivered to the groceries they are not washings with soap just wiped with a rag (Rag is also dirty). Then placed in the cooling refrigerator or vending machine. When you buy one please make sure you wash it with soapy water in order to avoid any diseases that they may contain.

I always wash the lids and then I use a straw..lol.. I use the staw because I like to drink out of them but then I don't have to touch the lid either. I have heard some pretty gross stories when lids of soda'a have been tested.

I never wash the lid, never gotten any diseases out of it either. Asides from that, for the little amount of bacteria which would be on a can of coke to make you sick you must have a pretty weakened immune system to begin with. I definitely wouldn't be worried about it, unless the cans are treated as badly as your veggies and fruit would be. But because of the way they are produced that commonly isn't the case.

I wash the lids. Or at least try to wipe them with a baby wipe or something if I am on the go and grab one.
