Okay, now don't get the wrong meaning here... You know I won't bring this up, unless I had a story of mine to share in the first place..
Okay, so the other day, I was looking for some paint in the laundry room to paint some furniture of mine.
Now you know what it's like when looking through old stuff that hasn't been used in ages, dust, and cobwebs and just gross stuff that you don't even know what it is...
So while I was trying to get some paint cans that are incidentally kept under this table, I happened to feel something in my hands and I don't know why, but I picked it up. It felt like nothing I had felt before. It wasn't moving, so that was a good sign. A little crusty, a little crunchy, I thought it might have been like an old french fry or something, a really small one, and so I'd throw it out, but as I brought it closer to look at it, I began to realize it could definitely not be a French fry, it's too dark. But I still can't make out what it is, and as I bring it closer and closer, I think I see legs, lots of them, on a lean long body. No, I had not caught a supermodel,ha ha.
Eww, it was a centipede, but not a live one, it was a carcass, been dead for a long time, perhaps, hence the stiffness and crustiness. It was really quite gross, the sensation. The grossest thing I've ever felt.
So, I thought I'd share the story, and see if you have some gross ones to share too...
So what is the grossest, most disgusting thing you've ever touched???
P.S: The shelf did get painted and it looks really cute now.

I guess it would be chocolates. Well, what looked like chocolates.
I was flipping through some old photo albums when I notice some chocolates on them. I didn't want to eat it of course - not that gross - but I was remarking about it to my family. Then I looked closely. YUCKS! They turned out to be cockroach eggs still in that larva form (or whatever technical term it is supposed to be called). They were in box form, chocolaty color so without looking closer, they look exactly like chocolate.
So, have I got you salivating yet? Want some chocolates?

The grossest things I have ever touched? I'm not sure things really gross me out to be honest, I've dealt with decaying animals, vomit, faeces, urine, snot, pus and loads more and it just does not turn my stomach. I'm not saying that trying to act big hard or clever, I just guess I'm lucky.

I've never really seen it as being tough, but I did wonder once if it was due to all the horror movies I have watched...maybe I have become desensitised if that makes sense.

Now this is a disgusting discussion lol
Well, I don't really want to thank you for bringing it up but I don't mind talking about it :)) I touched many disgusting things as a kid out of curiousty and it seems our feel for "disgust" is not totally developed until we grow up :) it was various kinds of insects and frogs, lizards, etc.

I don't know that I did touch anything that gross. I nearly touched something but not the same thing.
We lived next door to a paper factory unfortunately that place always attracted mice and rats, and when ever the fumigated we had to get the exterminater to our house as the rodents would flee the paper factory to our basement.
I was cleaning the basement and I went to pick something up, when a black thing moved against the back of my hand and ran off, it was a rat.
I freaked out for a while, and didn't go down to clean the basement the rest of that day.
After the exterminator came I did go and finish cleaning the basement.
While not gross when I was a kid I would clean houses to earn extra money, there were these two elderly ladies who couldn't do the heavy stuff any more and were so worried when I moved the dinning room table to get to the floor under it etc, but hey I was 14 they were 82 and 84 so for me crawling around and moving large furniture was not a big deal.
But I was dusting on the second floor, and there was this rather plain cardboard box, with this lovely kind of scroll like certificate pasted to the top that I was dusting, the certificate was so fancy, and the box so well plain like something you take something out of of and toss the box away. Except that I read the certificate and realized I just dusted off Mr. Nedermeyer. That kind of freaked me out a bit. But I got over it. Not gross just out of my normal realm so a bit freaky.

ok, freaky for you, funny for me.....ha ha....
The rat thing has happened to me too, but for me, the rat actually ran over my foot instead of my arm, and it really wasn't that gross, it's almost like any other mammal, like a small cat would feel like if it walked across my foot.
Good story, though!!

Human body fat, yellow blubbery drill when removing it for a dissection. Fat simply is disgusting, the smell, the feeling...

oh yeah, sounds disgusting, I did dissections in school, but only the cockroach and the frog, but didn't really touch nothing, and it wasn't as disgusting as the centipede..
ATTENTION people!!!
That picture got uploaded by mistake, I uploaded a centipede and in another window, was uploading the photo of Torrie Wilson for my "celebrity crush" discussion, don't know it got mixed. Sorry about that...
