Positive ratings get money and negative ratings don't!

I don't completely disagree with you BUT I can see where this could create a bigger problem. If a person gets paid for every positive they give, then the money hungry people here will probably just go around rating everybody and every post with a positive whether it's deserved or not. I think it would cause the rating system to become very corrupted and there would be no way to distinguish between the truly good posters and the ones that just got lucky by getting positives from the people only after the money. I do think that if we had to give a reason for the negative it would help cut down on those that do it only for spite. I don't give negatives because I disagree but I will give them for poor quality or if the person making the response didn't really read the original post.

I don't know if that would work, but it should be given a try. I rarely give negative ratings. The last time I did it because the comment didn't add anything to the discussion. In fact it was rude.

I really like the idea. Because I used to have a 10 star, and someone kept rating me negativly and brought me down to a 7. I dont know why, I never say anything mean over mylot. I think it was just to be mean. But yeah I love the idea of getting money for rating positivly!

I think that is a really great idea. YOUUUUUUUUUU WHOOOOOOOOOOOO Mr. MYLOT you need to read this idea. The only time I actually rated someone badly was when I felt like they were picking on me. And I just really think that is not called for at all! I always try to rate people some times it may take me awhile but I always try my hardest.

yah its good idea but only problem is that, in order to earn money people would rate +ve to everyone i think it should go the other way round, if anyone rates -ve to 10 or more people in a day , his points should reduce but +ve rating should not affect

That's an excellent idea! I hate how some people misuse the rating system and use it to punish other people who have different opinions, so by implementing such a system they'd really have to think twice before giving someone a negative rating.

Well, that is really i great idea. BUt i think we are just mere members here. We cannot dictate what we want and mylot will act accordingly. That is a different scenario. We cannot chose here but to follow the rules. If we were to make the rules. I guess many people will get rich here at mylot. Just keep posting so that you'll earn a lot.Goodluck!

To be honest with you I don't see how this could work. Because you always have those people who have to spoil things. I agree with one previous poster. I think it would work better if we would have to explain why we gave a someone a negative rating. Then maybe they would think twice if they had to justify a bad rating.

Yes i thinking logically it is good to have a rating system. So if you go for a rating system at this place then obviously they are about to affect your earnings. Rating helps maintain quality discussions running over this place. I hope you understand.

No buddy it's not like that your money depends on ratings that if it's positive you'll earn else not.

Well, if that ever happened I would be a rich person, because I rate every discussion I respond to, like I did yours just now. Mainly I do that so that I don't accidentally respond to your discussion again, when I see the "rated!" sign. And then I also rate positively every response and comment that I get on my discussions, whether I like them or not. I think it would be a great idea, if that were so, why not?

i agree that myLot would be more efficient if they paid us for positive ratings. i also agree that there should be no pay for negative ratings, but that earnings should bot be deduacted for them. Sometimes a person really deserves that negative rating.

If this site endures the test of time, I wouldn't be surprised to see the rating system removed entirely.

thats a very innovative idea. you are right people rate negative because they dont agree with their views. 1 cent for every five positive ratings sounds good, but do remember that there are some people very few who work for only money and simply start meaningless discussions, ive just ignored them , not marked them

WHAT?! We don't get paid if our comment gets a negative rating? Thast some bull crap because your right, people rate negatively because they don't agree with the responder... Aren't some dissucssions made to debate with one another? I think mylot should fix that..
